Such an amazing place- well worth the trip from Chania especially if you combine it with other things in the area like the world's oldest olive tree, a winery, or Eleas Thea. We did the sunset olive oil tasting with dinner and it was an evening we will never forget! The best food and views and olive oil anyone could ever ask for.

This was our third visit to Biolea with the fabulous Anna Maria, owner of Chania Wine Tours, for their Boozy Brunch. One of the rare olive mills producing oil with stone mills and a press, the education around olive oil production here is indeed unique.

Beyond the absolutely delicious olive oils, Biolea is in a beautiful location with views galore. The food is always incredible, the wine pairings perfect, there's just not a bad thing to say about the wonderful experience you will find here. Thank you for being such gracious hosts yet again!

My wife wanted to visit an olive oil factory (?). In going thru the Biolea web site, I noticed they offers a wine pairing lunch, in addition to a tour of the facility. Since we are a bit rabid about wine pairings, we signed up. The tour commenced at 1300, lasting about 40 minutes. Learning how olive oil is produced, especially the grinding/extraction by both old and new methods, was fascinating.
We then started our lunch, which was touted as four courses, all using their oil. The appetizer course was, in fact, two different appetizers, we considered exceptional. They were well paired with a very good white. The actual six courses and four wines continued to be absolutely top notch, with the lunch lasting for 2.5 hours. Of course, it concluded with Raki.
OK, so I haven't addressed the olive oil. It's outstanding. You have to try it for yourself.
I'm not bragging, just stating facts: My wife and I have, for seven years, organized 10-12 wine pairing dinners per year at our yacht club in the USA. Cost is normally $125-175 per person, plus t&t. At a cost of 45 euros each, this was as good as any we have put on.
If you can, go there with enough time to relax and really enjoy yourself. You absolutely will not regret it.

One of the best experiences of our trip. We loved learning about how artisanal olive oils are made, tasting their olive oils and feeling surrounded the rich soil, smells and vistas of Cretan mountain villages that give birth to these olives. If you love farm to table experiences, this is not to be missed. The lunch in the garden is equally delicious as the surroundings.

A wonderful, authentic place run by the next generation of enthusiasts. An organic farm producing the highest quality olive oil with care for tradition and nature. The chef's menu is based on local and fresh products from the area. I would highly recommend!

Great tour! Perfect summary of organic olive oil production, including 2 (traditional and modern) ways of processing olives. Followed by a tasting. Followed it with Manousakis winery tour

Biolea is an amazing place to visit and learn about the process of making olive oil from beginning to end! Chloe did a wonderful job explaining how olives are cultivated and then processed into the oil. When she finished, we were able to sample Biolea's incredible oils--traditional, lemon and bitter orange. Biolea is surrounded by gorgeous Cretan views of sea and mountains, and of course, olive groves as far as the eye can see. This is an enjoyable tour that is reasonably priced and a must do for anyone who appreciates high quality Cretan olive oil!

We were told of this olive producer from the information centre in Kissamos and drove up to check it out. We were not disappointed. Katrina our guide was such a lovely lady who showed passion and a true interest for her companies story. She took us through the process of the olive to the finished product. Educated us on the difference between olive oils and other products produced from the simple olive. It was such a lovely afternoon. Thank you Katrina and you’re partner whom we didn’t get here name for making it such a fantastic visit. From you’re Canadian guests .

A few things first: check your satnav is accurate before setting off - ours assumed we could cut across mountain paths - which we didn’t. We saw some spectacular villages, but we were late for the tour we had booked

Parking is close by with a very steep ramp which is a bit tricky for the less mobile.

The free tour is informative and useful in the basics and you also get free bread & oil tasting.

The restaurant makes this place - for €25 per person you are served an 8 course tasting menu in the most phenomenal setting. The staff are thoughtful, friendly & well informed and the food was superb too!
We couldn’t keep track of how much food was served as we were having such a great time. Their wines are also great.

We all love to dine out, but this dining experience really is special - location, ingredients & staff - I cannot recommend a visit more highly!

This region is absolutely beautiful! Every turn offers new vistas and magnificent scenery. We rented a car for driving in Crete and were so happy that we did. The roads were well maintained and driving through the mountains on Crete was an awesome experience.
