This is a truly marvellous surprise. A medieval Manor House, still preserved in many aspects. Well worth a visit, well worth the admission charge

I have now lived in Gainsborough for a couple years moving up from London. I have gone past on numerous occasions so decided to pop in. I'm glad I did. I found the place very interesting.

Visited here last week for a craft fair, plenty of different rooms to explore and plenty of stalls to visit, the building has a lot of impressive architecture and great if you are interested in the tudor times. Nice impressive building and worth a visit.

We spent a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours at the Old Hall today. The audio guide provided with the entrance fee was very informative and included video sections bringing aspects of the Hall to life, and adding details about the clues in the architecture. Some...More

A beautiful Tudor Manor House. Completely unexpected in the centre of Gainsborough. Now run by English Heritage, it has an exemplary kitchen, supposedly one of the best in England. Superb and well worth a visit. This really is a stunning property.
