Surkanda devi temple hiking is one and the only thing to do when in dhanaulti. Its just 10km from main dhanaulti. One can easily reach here by bus (fixed time)/own vehicle. Just ask for the bus timing a day before. Else any shared sumo going on that route will drop you there (2km steep trek starts from here). Have some... More

I really liked it, view from temple is really really awesome. But it was too difficult to reach temple. It was complete 3kms steep way to reach temple. So carry water with you.

Devi shrine for religious and spiritual people, also a great opportunity for photography lovers to capture Himalayas. We stayed at Whispering Pines which gives as good views but those staying elsewhere can consider landscape photography from here.

Though it is a temple and might not attract those who are not into visiting temples, but I can assure that this place is something beyond that. At an altitude of almost 10,000 ft. this is the highest point in and around Dhanaulti. So the 360 degree view that one gets from the top is amazing. But then the real... More

The route is really difficult and the trekking is more than 2 hours long. However, the divine darshan makes you feel blissful and you shall forget the rest of the world. Situated at a hill peak, you can see the valleys and the beauty of the Tihri hills

The trek to temple is a bit difficult as it is steep, horse ride is also available.Once you reach the top the view is really beautiful and mesmerising. The weather up there is cold. the temple is beautiful but the view from top is to die for. Visited January 2016 Highly recommended, A must Visit

I had been to this place in October last year and that was the best time in terms of weather, it was also less crowded at that time. The trek to this temple is pretty difficult specially if u are a bit lazy and bulky so there are horses available that will take u till the temple and u can... More

People say this temple has a reputation for answering a lot of prayers!! Apart from that, this is not less than an adventure. Its a trek on a cemented path straight up for about an hour or so. Given you are climbing at the right time and right season of the year, this will be an even better experience. The... More
