This was part of my trip to Kailash organised through Government of India through a long trek through Lipulekh pass. posted a full video traveelogue including details of stay at Mansarovar lake on youtube . search for "Journey to the center of the self" . this area is spiritually amazing and very rejuvenating. The lake and surroundings are amazing and very meditative.

Lake Mansarovar exudes the beauty and character of the 'White Tara' in Buddhism, absolutely divine!
Sep 2019 • Friends
I visited Lake Mansarovar, and then Kailash in September, 2019. It was an experience of a lifetime! The holy lake exudes a divinity, a benign energy, and bewitches with its ever changing form and sheer beauty. It is also a bio-diversity hotspot and the nesting site of many rare birds, some of whom I saw and photographed while there, along with exploring its many facets. If interested, you can read about the story of my travels and amazing experiences I had, in my book '14 Days To Kailash Mansarovar', available on Amazon.

Was able to take bath by kneeling in front of the lake and not by bucket. extremely cold and chilly, don't spend too much time as it is risky but it is once in a lifetime experience. was able to get some water back home

Specialised Tour of Kailash Mansarovar By Ali Route
Aug 2019
The tour operator handled our 10 days trip to Kailash Via Ali wonderfully. From our beautiful Hotel in Kathmandu to our visit to Potala Palace in Tibet and of course our Parikrama to Mount Kailash- we had an exceptional visit that was made possible by our travel specialist, Richa Tours in Kathmandu. Mr. Sangay provided our Group of 9 people with an itinerary that was far better than what we had initially planned.

Their attention to detail and understanding made the trip memorable. At the start, the pious trip to Mount Kailash was planned for Mid-September. However, due to Tibet circumstances, there was an official statement released by the Tibetan officials that the region of Mt. Kailash would close on September 10. Due to this, our tour operator pre-poned the tour to first week of August. We were explained so carefully and everything was transparent. Mr Sangay and his team in Richa Tours was able to adjust and improve the tedious journey of Kailash with little to no hassle. We received our permits on time as promised and Visa was applied in New Delhi with no difficulty.

Our guide Dawa Sherpa was a terrific expert who was patient and encouraged for our 2 days parikrama around Mt. Kailash. As this was a Private Tour, the team delivered top notch quality service and we were provided with 2 Land Cruiser Jeeps while travelling. We wanted something different as we had already travelled to Mt. Kailash before via Helicopter through Richa Tours in Kathmandu. So, the team came up with a brilliant expertise of knowledgable route by travelling via Ali. This is a lesser known route to travellers but I can guarantee that it is a relaxing and comfortable way of paying homage to Lord Shiva's abode.

The tour allowed us to enjoy the local Tibetan culture, gastronomy and experience the grandeur of the majestic Mt. Kailash. Given that the trip was slightly expensive due to the specialised route via Ali, it was worth every penny that we spent. The one experience that stood out a bit was the star gazing program in the shores of Lake Mansarovar. The changing light at sunset was out of the world and cannot be put in words followed by the gazillion reflection of stars on the lake with the backdrop of Mt. Kailash. It is clearly a serene magical wonder that one can come across.

A surreal trip that was made possible with professional and reliable team. Our special thanks to team of Richa Tours for making our dream destination special again!

My holy Mansarovar experience enroute to Mount Kailash.
Jun 2019
Mansarovar me "man" bhar jaata hai, you cant ask for anything more divine n pure, the holy water you have there washes away all the inner impurities of one's heart and the mind as well. A must visit place, at least once in a lifetime. The mud houses there were extremely comfortable, I personally thank my tour operator KAILASH JOURNEYS PVT LTD for their endeavour to ensure comfort for all. Thanks Kailash Journeys.

The happening place
Aug 2019 • Friends
Vast fresh water lake which is the origin of five mighty rivers is the most happening place in this region. One will feel the high energy existence in this area especially at the dawn .your mind will get overpowered by the energy level. As per Hinduism having a holy dip in this chilled lake cleans all your son's and you are entitled to get moksha.

The very presence of swans triggers the flow of tears from you( for those who follows the myths in Hinduism)

The local govt has taken great care in preserving the natural reserve.

Upto here we can reach by road. From here for Kailash treck you may have to go to yamadwar and start treck

Lake Mansarovar
Jul 2019
Nothing prepares you for your experience at Lake Mansarovar. Few tips: -
(a) Most of the Parikrama of the Lake is done on vehicle. It stops in between and that is the place one should collect the water (if one wants), take a dip and collect stones (again if desired),
(b) At the Mansarovar per se the Chinese authority do not allow pooja/bathing and collection of water for environmental and safety reasons . The place the tour operators take you for pooja is slushy, not recommended for going in water, water is dirty for collection and lastly guide prepare hot water in drums for one to take a bath.
(c) The view of Kailash behind Mansarovar is best from a Monastry next to the lake and one must attempt seeing/taking pictures from there (depending upon one's fitness level.

KAILASH PARIKRAMA
Jun 2019
I decided to visit Kailash in the month of February and booked my journey via Nepal Tourism Package.for the trip commencing from Kathmandu on 11-06-2019. Due to delay in getting permit from Chinese authorities and Visa problems, our trip along with other groups were delayed for 5 days.
Next day we visited PASUPATHI NATH temple, Guhayeswari Temple, Budhanilkanth Temple and evening spent some time in the town.. The climate was not so good to do our parikrama. The next day after reaching Manasarovar, we started our three day parikrama. We completed the first day parikrama with out any difficulty and reached Derapukh before 3 PM. Due to bad weather and snow fall, the Chinese persons didn’t give permission for doing the second day parikrama. At last, as per our request, they gave permission by obtaining our consent letter that, we are doing parikrama at our own risk. We started our second day parikrama early in the morning at about 3/30. Due to some health problems, 7 persons returned to the camp and remaining 7 persons completed the second day parikrama with the grace of Lord Siva and reached Zuthulpukh at about 3 PM. Third day we started about 4/30 morning and completed our parikrama by around 7/30 am. The arrangements made by the NTP for the trip was very good. The guide accompanied us are very helpful and co-operating. The accommodation and food arrangements made by NTP was very very good and above our expectations. The services provided by the NTP is excellent
