Beautiful sunset over the sea

After dinner we strolled out on the harbour. And enjoyed the peaceful sunset over the sea. Beautiful!

It was part of our out season visit to the Island of Ærø where we went to Marstal Havn, it is large water front for the size of the island because they used to build boat there. They still do some marine work there and also still have a floating dock. The marina was shut down for the season so... More

Nice place for evening walk or reading books. More coffee shops or similar would be good, but this is small place so they probably don't see profit value.

The harbor area is splendid with nice staying areas and new facilities. The city is near by and definitely a... More

If you are sailing in the south sea of Denmark, you should stop at. Marstal. It has an old harbour with ship builders. The town is really nice with some restaurants and bars. Approaching marstal can be a bit challenging, because you have to carefully follow the track.

This marina is a convenient day's sail from Kiel and a good place to stop if you don't want to travel a bit further on to Aeroskobing. The approach takes you through clearly buoyed channels and unless you have a very shallow draft you are strongly advised to stick to them! Like most marinas in the Baltic it is box... More

Fru Berg = Mrs. Berg is a very colourful person, and in her restaurant she serves you very good fresh fish dishes, try it with the local beer, or a bottle of wine.
