Overview

A huge and unused storage space in the region’s biggest winery - an authentic industrial place where the smells of wine hover around. Nearly everything was left untouched, even the rough dark old walls, while the integration of a perfect infrastructure for a modern art gallery with a gigantic light system went ahead. The result: 3.000 m² breathtaking contrast of space. Looking forward meeting you!

Great exhibits in vast, stunning industrial space. The area so needs places like this and yet poorly advertised. Outside needs to match high standards of inside with suitable signs/banners/ flags to alert public. Exciting development.

Fab idea to turn an old winery into art space with cafe and selling local goods. The building does still have a scent of the wine making and a mixed and interesting range of exhibits. Well worth a visit and you can pay what you...More

A really unusual space above the wine cooperative. Some great art and seriously worth visiting regularly as there seems to be a good and regular change of the exhibits.

LiR Galeria Arte Algarve is opposite the Lagoa bus station. From the outside it doesn't look particularly large but it is in fact huge occupying the whole Co-operative building. You could easily spend over an hour here and not see everything properly. Mix of interesting...More
