Yeah it is very convenient for us to travel from Phuket to many places along the coast. We took a trip to Aoluek and it is very cheap for 2 of us. Good bus station with Wifi, clean and organized.

It's kind of fun slumming it like a local and traveling in hot humid conditions without A/C. Even by Thai standards, this bus terminal is poor. That's not why you're travelling via local buses right? It's cheap and cheerful.

Yes, from Phuket Town, the blue busses leave every day to several beaches over the island. Just go to Suriyadej Traffic Circle and ask for the bus to Rawai/Nai Harn. It's 30 Baht to Rawai and takes about 1 hour.
