We were on holiday with the family and had 3 days in Khao Sok, with the most amazing and immersive guide MM. We had so many wonderful experiences on this trip, where we stayed in Khao Sok Boutique Camp and at A floating house on Cheow Lan Lake. Both places have the most beautiful nature. We were on bamboo rafring, we bathed with an elephant, we saw all the exciting animals in the rainforest, we saw the monkeys at the Monkey temple etc etc etc. All in all a wonderful experience, mostly thanks to the guide MM who knew a lot about the places we visited, and who was just completely wild 😊

We booked the 1 night tour to include ride to the lake pier, boat ride to the phuphawaree floating resort , breakfast lunch and dinner, mangrove trekking, sundown, sunrise and animal sightings on long boat. Excellent 2 days trip. Highly recommended! Did not see elephants this time but plenty of monkeys, wild pigs and wild birds. The rooms are nice, basic with aircond. Food is good. Bring your own wine and liquor if required...

We had the most wonderful 3 day tour. Beautiful nature and wildlife in both the jungle and on the lake.

We were so lucky to have Khun MM as our guide. So friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Really made our tour.

Thank you again for a perfect tour👍👍

We took this trip as a family including my children and parents and non of us were disappointed, although it is s long drive from Karon Beach it was worth it. Fist we stopped at a cafe at Khao Lak fir a drink then visited the Tsunami Museum. Then you continue on to the elephant track witch was great. It was a quiet ride down in the water then through a plantation, our elephant was the leader and most of the time the driver just walk behind him, he was very quiet. I have been on an elephant ride in Phuket and by far this is way better than that, at the end you can buy bananas to feed your elephant they do try to sell you a photo but they don't pressure you into it if you don't want one. We then went to a look out, it was beautiful. Back in the bus we visited a monkey temple, lots of monkeys with babies. Next stop was much it was a beautiful mix of dishes. We chose to do the canoeing which was so peaceful floating back down the river with a guide paddling for you. We left our resort at 7.30am and didn't get back until 7pm but it was worth it. We would have never got to drive up through part of the mainland if not for this tour. Mr one was great, very friendly and accommodating . Highly recommend.

We booked through the Kaguma tour book! First off nothing in the brochure mentions the excruciatingly uncomfortable 6 hours on a bus! You need to rewrite your synopsis for their booklet with more details and honesty. At one point we went 3 entire hours without a toilet break!
This was NOT ethical treatment of elephants as the mahouts had Whips & Hooks. 😢 Oh you could bathe the elephants if you knew to bring extra clothes which we did Not because where did it say that and I did Not want to see a hook or whip come out as may have hooked or whipped the Mahout myself 😤😔to let him see how it feels. Next was a stop to see the monkey temple which was basically a pit stop tourist trap to feed monkeys. Then we went to a makeshift restaurant for lunch. The lunch was actually good! Lastly, Finally we get to the part we were looking forward to the jungle canoeing trip. Well again disappointed 😔 to ride 20 minutes hearing cars whizz by on the bridge visible near by with power lines in plain view! Yeah a real jungle experience....NOT! At least our canoe guide pointed out a lizard, blue bird and snake in a tree. Then a horrible 4 hour is ride back to hotel. Not how I wanted to spend a day in Phuket! What a waste!!!!

This was a very busy day and a long drive from our hotel but well worth it. We stopped for tea/coffee at a cafe which had wonderful views over Khao Lak beach. When then stopped at the Tsunami Memorial and saw the Police boat that had been carried 2km in land. There was a display of photos showing the horror of Boxing Day 2004.

The next stop was the elephant trek which was great fun, especially in the river when the elephants enjoyed spraying everyone with water! We were given the opportunity to ride the elephant without the Mahout which my husband enjoyed.

The monkey temple was next where we fed the monkeys with nuts while they climbed over us. They were very gentle and well behaved considering we were warned that they liked to steal from tourists!

The next stop was lunch where we were shown how to tap a rubber tree and how to make rubber from the sap. Lunch was plentiful and delicious. After lunch we drove to the river for our canoe ride which was total relaxation for at least an hour. We started by walking through a cave down to the water. Fish food was available and the fish were waiting to be fed. We glided past stunning scenery and even saw a couple of tree snakes, a tree frog, butterflies and birds. A long day but well worth it.

We attended a full day action packed tour to the Khoa Sok area. The bridge, the tsunami memorial, elephant bathing, monkey (feeding) temple, bamboo rafting. The lunch in the companies mountain resort was beautiful. We would have liked to stay there for the night.
Our guide Poar was excellent and provided tons of information during the tour. She was well prepared with a raincoat for each of us. Fortunately they where not required.
Highly recommended tour

The only reason they are getting a 2 (and not a one) is because of the staff, they were very friendly.

DO NOT BOOK TRIP IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT ELEPHANT TREKKING.

Only the lunch and bamboo rafting were interesting, but the rest of the activities were too short and not very interesting. We spent around 80% of the day travelling in the mini-van.

We were really looking forward to this trip after reading some great reviews. We went to Phuket last year and did Phi Phi and James Bond Island trips and thought this would be a bit different and exciting. We went to the 'pineapple farm' which consisted of the coach driver stopping at the side of the road to let us out and while he turned the coach around we walked into a field to look at a couple of pineapples and get back on the coach! We then continued on to the turtle project at Tablamu where we were rushed around, looked into a couple of enclosures and saw small, medium and large turtles but no one to explain what the project was about. The river rafting was brilliant and really good fun. We saw snakes in the trees got quite wet and really had a great time. The food was good at the restaurant at the end of the rafting trip. We then went on to the elephant camp. We were expecting to go trekking through the rainforest but were taken up a muddy hill turn round and go back down! Although the elephants were great it wasn't what everyone was expecting. The Tsunami Memorial Park was interesting . The police boat is still where it landed after the Tsunami 2km in land! The next stop was the monkey cave temple. There are loads of monkeys running round and it was funny watching. When we all got back onto the coach we were due to go to a fruit market but we all wanted to get back to our hotels which took us 2 hours. Over half of the time was spent on the coach which was full and very stuffy.

Went for day tour with Khao Sok Discovery Tour. It was a long full day. The was no downtime. Everything was well organized and it wasn't a trip that will charge you double with extras. They did ask to feed the elephants after the ride but everything else was not expected. It was so much fun that I am recommending it to my friends.
