Khao Rang Hilltop Viewpoint is an absolute gem and the perfect spot for a romantic evening. Watching the sunset from the hilltop is nothing short of magical, with the sky painted in hues of orange and pink as the sun dips below the horizon. The panoramic view of Phuket from up there is truly mesmerizing and leaves you in awe of the island’s beauty.
The setting feels serene and private, offering a secluded ambiance ideal for couples or anyone looking to soak in peaceful vibes. The presence of a few monkeys adds a playful touch to the visit, but they keep their distance and won’t bother you much.
The cozy hilltop café Breeze … is another highlight. It’s the perfect place to sip on a cup of coffee or nibble on snacks while taking in the scenic views. The seating along the edge enhances the experience, making it feel like you’re floating above the world.
Whether you’re seeking a quiet retreat, a romantic date spot, or just a memorable evening, Khao Rang Hilltop delivers it all. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Phuket!

Phuket Khao Rang is of the best panorama viewpoint of phuket town. try to go there in the late afternoon before the last light and u can see the colourful lights from the town. beware as there r many monkeys around and will snatch away any loose items u left on the table or chairs especially your handphone, sunglasses, hats and purse.
there was a man playing a musical instrument to entertain the few people at the viewpoint when I was there. it was very nice of him. there r 2 restaurants up there where u can have your dinner if u r there for the sunset which u can hardly see it anyway.

The view is great but the monkeys are not.
One grabbed my daughters watter bottle and really pulled but she hung onto it. The monkey then turned and grabbed my other daughters handbag pulling off a toy/key chain and proceeded to rip it apart in front of us. Getting aggressive if we even took one step in is direction.
There are plenty of signs saying "don't feed the monkeys". For this very reason. But there were tour guides encouraging tourists to "have fun" feeding the monkeys!

During our vacation in Phuket we had visited the Khao Rang hill viewpoint as part of of our full day sightseeing tour. This a well maintained viewing area at the top of the hill from where we got bird eye view of the Phuket town, blue sea dotted with white boats and equally blue skyline dotted with white clouds. The views are absolutely stunning and a photographer's delight. We drank coconut water at one of the many food stalls here.

Love it! Rang Hill is the best viewpoint near the Phuket town, clam and peaceful. Also the restaurants up there is quite good with the affordable price. A great place to sit and chill!

Best view point I feel, amongst the others in Phuket as the view is panaromic. Worth a visit. Easy to get there by car.

I don't think I want to do this AND Monkey Hill, they are close to one another as we will have a moped. Both have view points, both have monkeys. Monkey hill is taller at something like 270m vs 140m for this one I think I saw someone say. Which would you recommend between these two?

I haven't been to monkey hill. Sorry

We are coming from Phi Phi Island in the morning and would like to visit Rang Hill before catching an evening flight out of Phuket. Does anyone have a suggestion for storing or carrying our luggage? We are a family of 5 and will each have a carry-on size bag. Is it ok to take it with us up Rang Hill and have lunch? Or should we find a hotel to store it while we venture around?
Written 31 January 2018
Hey. There is no any hotels or guest houses near by. But...I think you could store your bags somewhere near by. Or inside your cab/taxi. For example you could hire a van from your place for hourly rate. But It could be quite expensive
Regarding going around with your bags honestly it's not good idea, due monkeys there on the daytime. They can simple rub you and your belongings. It's funny to see from outside but I don't think that you will like.
So, the place is quite good! So there are a few place to eat and have a rest! If you will come with kids, then you have to buy them thai ice cream, it's so tasty!
Have a nice journey and flight back home!
