About
Phuket Weekend Market, also known as Talad Tairod by the locals, is hailed as Phuket’s largest night market. There’s an endless jumble of goods for sale here, including clothing, accessories, souvenirs, shoes, and all sorts of electronics. The food spread is equally vast—you can find fried snacks, fruit salads, and even deep-fried insects. If you’re looking to have a full meal, there are several dine-in seafood restaurants. This weekend market is also located opposite Naka Temple. As parking spaces are limited, hop on a taxi or tuktuk (Thailand's three-wheeled open-air vehicles) to get here with ease. – Tripadvisor

Don't Get Naka'd Out by the Variety
Really enjoyed our time at Naka Market - food, souvenirs, and music! What could be bad? Great experience to enjoy as a couple or with friends. So much food to try and goods to purchase. The best part is the local music acts they highlight - so cool to see young performers! Remember to bring coins for the bathroom!

Fun filled surprises and great shopping experience
This place is always a good visit whenever we go to Phuket. There are stalls for almost everything. Souvenirs, clothes and food galore in this fun filled market. There's even live music which is a plus. There are all kinds of food, especially Thai food for the foodies. For those interested in challenging themselves for some fried insects like grasshoppers, scorpions and such you can find it here. Otherwise its mostly great Thai food. Make sure you get all your toilet needs done before coming here as there is only ONE toilet in the entire place.

Amazing experience of food and shopping
Incredibly safe to eat street food in a covered market. This must be on the essential list when visiting Phuket. A vast variety of street foods make in front of you—all shopping experience at a street level where you can bargain for clothes and souvenirs. Kids really can see the cultural diversity which Phuke has to offer.

    Phuket Town Highlight
About a 4km walk from the centre of old Phuket Town - a bit of a walk in humidity - a taxi is an alternative. We went to the market after an afternoon of investigating the old town. A must see experience in Phuket. The weekend market is open from about 4pm and once night time sets in, there is an extra atmosphere. Live entertainment, plenty of food stalls of all types imaginable and heaps of market goods. After a while, all the stalls can look the same but there are some real bargains to be had. Everyone was friendly and we never felt uncomfortable or threatened in any way - felt very safe. Designated taxi stands with defined costs available.

    Get your market fix
The Phuket Weekend Market, also known locally as the Naka Market, is a very large semi open air market in southern Phuket. It's just a couple of kilometres east of Old Phuket Town. The names of some of the Phuket markets are a little confusing, and most are known by more than one name, but this one is one of the biggest that I'm aware of [along with the Chiliva Night Market] and is a great way to spend a couple of hours or more. Basically the market has two distinct parts, the food stalls, with lots of tables & chairs available, and the 'general' market, full of the usual t shirts, gifts, crafts, knock-offs and a million other things! And like many Thai markets, there are a number of bars trying to outdo each other with cheap cocktails & beers. What's not to like?

    Treasure Trove of Culinary Delights
Exploring the Naka Weekend Market in Phuket was an absolute culinary adventure. This bustling market is a treasure trove of delicious Thai street food, offering a wide range of mouthwatering dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. From the savory delights of Pad Thai and green curry to the sweet indulgence of mango sticky rice, the food options are incredibly diverse. However, the real gem here is YouKillMe. Their Thai-flavored pastel de nata, including durian and foi tong varieties, are a revelation. The delicate pastries with their unique flavors are a must-try. To complement these delights, be sure to grab a refreshing coconut ice cream near pastry shop to beat the tropical heat. The Naka Weekend Market in Phuket offers a vibrant atmosphere and an extraordinary array of flavors. If you're a food enthusiast, this market is an absolute must-visit destination in Phuket!" 🍜🥭🍦🍰🍹

    Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!
Wish we had more time here. There is anything and everything here at Naka markets from clothes, bags to cooked food and fresh fruit. Very busy and very big so easy to get lost. Make sure you bargain if you are wanting to buy goods. Bought some really good gifts here but also felt a little overwhelmed with all the choice by the end. Cheapest coconut water and mango sticky rice here!

    Shop and eat
Ventured here after trying some shopping in Patong earlier in our trip. Wasn’t expecting this….great stall holders, all friendly with little to no hassle, great prices and also willing to negotiate with you. Amazing given our previous Patong experience was pretty much the opposite. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good replicas at cheap prices. Also the food aisles are a highlight with some beautiful local and international offerings

Bustling Market with Clothes, Food and Beer, as well as live music!
A bustling market with clothes, authentic Thai food, treats and beer, and also a live singer plays at night too. Can be very busy and intense at times, as well as very hot but definitely worth it. Have been here 3 times already and would definitely recommend.

    Great shopping and food market
Loved this market. Heaps of great cheap food options and heaps of shopping. Fab prices. We caught a bolt from Patong there and back and it worked well. Would definitely visit again and do all my shopping here. Was not disappointed.

Big, busy, noisy and very hot. A fun experience if you enjoy a bustling crowd, bartering for goods and trying local food. Naka is a fun weekend market with many of the same clothes, shoes, jewellery and electronic goods you can buy from OTOP market in Patong or Karon Temple Night market. You don’t need to go to all 3.

It was a horrible experience...as we discovered the stall of living animals.
Puppydogs, kittens, hedgehogs and rabbits were kept in small metalcages...without water in over 35 C.
The animals were in very poor condition, some of them dying of chock an exhaustion.
If you are an animal lover do NOT support this terrible treatment of our pets by visiting Naka market.

Lots of stalls with gifts, clothing, food and fake items.

I got some bargain Thai items & gifts,

The food area has lots of options may find it hard to get a seat.

Barter as the prices quoted always much higher. Most of the stalls sell same things.

The fake designer items are not something I would purchase but for those who are looking I would say the quality is poor and look very fake. Save your money and buy the Thai local items.

Only downside is parking can be an issue.

Came here looking for cheap nice clothes and found it. There is plenty to see and do here. There are tons of shops in one area to see. If you are looking for clothes and souvenirs this is a good place to start. We did not try any of the food.

So much fun. Great atmosphere, ate food we wouldn’t have seen in the UK. Loved it. My husband is a trained chef and we love trying different types of food- this market did not disappoint! This was also one of the cheapest places we found to buy clothes/souvenirs.
