Kata was probably the least crowded and most pleasant beach south of Patong, with a nice main road, except that Club Med had purchased land back in 1985 so there are only two access roads to the beach because this monstrosity bloks access and vision...More

Kata beach is a little bit overrated. Overall pretty clean but the local hawkers are annoying. We are used to dealing with this kind of approach but some of these guys are just relentless. We finally settled down in a couple of beach chairs, purchased...More

Been here recently with my wife. This is a nice beach with white sand. This beach is a very good place to relax. Some plastics can be found though.

Of the three beaches, Patong, Karon and Kata, Kata is the best all round. Nice frontage, good sand, mild waves and clean water. This is where Club Med is so that should tell you something. Small crowded town with plenty of bars and restaurants.

DO BE CAREFUL as there are two cases of drowning on Phuket's beaches every week! Of the main beaches in Phuket, I love Kata the most. It has a nice cove and a rocky outcrop guarding the bay. It is more peaceful than Patong, more...More

This is a nice section of beach and not as busy as the beaches in Pattaya, it as a couple of close bars which offer good drinks at reasonable prices. worth the visit

This was my favorite beach in Phuket because it's slightly less crowded than Patong but just as beautiful. Water is a bit dirty but there's cheap umbrellas for rent and plenty of beach activities. We tended to do Kata by day, Patong by night.

This is another beautiful beach that phuket has to offer. Less crowded compared to the famous patong beach.

I´ts really cheap. I think around 15 bahts. August would be a little expensive than low season months. I went on november and it was really cheap, but you should not worry for a huge incrementation of prices.
