This adventure down in the caves where very historic discoveries has been made was fabulous! Highly recommend it. Before entering in to the caverns, there is educational display with great information, take the time to read it!

Spacious, well equipped cottage on stilts overlooking the surrounding hills. Quiet and serene. Guests are transported to their cottages by golf cart and must not walk to the restaurant after dark due to possible animals wandering the grounds. Chef was very good at accomodating for...More

With a short one-day stop in Joburg before our safari, we decided to make this one of two excursion. It was worth it. The only regret is that we didn't have time to view everything. From the outside, it looks deceivingly small. Going to the...More

My husband and I did a day trip from Pretoria with Ulysses tours. We visited Sterkfontein Caves first. Being 8 months pregnant, everyone was skeptical of our visit, but it ended up being fine for me. Other pregnant women may want to skip this part...More

Open your mind to see the place where Lucy was found. Fannya is a great tour guide. If you want to laugh and learn ask for him to tell and teach you something.

Really wasn’t sure what to make of this place. Some exhibits were really interesting but some were more like padding. The boat ride was like a poor indoor fairground ride. A mixture for all ages

We only had an hour on our way to the Airport. Not enough time to do it justice but had to battle through very unruly school kids all not under the control of their Teachers. Be aware if you are elderly you may get tripped...More

If you are visiting or passing through Johannesburg a stop at the caves and museum at the Cradle of Humankind is well worth your time. At the caves you descend through a narrow entrance to explore the limestone caverns where the remains of numerous members...More

We rented a car and drove the entire trip so it is difficult to answer your questions. Give the Cradle of Mankind at least four hours with the museum.

I think two hours for the tour is correct but you can easily spend another hour in the great museum and exhibit which puts everything into perspective. We were there for three hours.
