Group of like-minded photographers taken on tour by Jason our guide, underground and around the mine. We arrived in time for first tour so not as crowded as the next group. Ross gave us the time to take loads of photos and we went down...More
Join Day dream mine tour twice a day at 10.00 and 11.30am. Make sure you'll be on time because it takes 30-40 mins to drive from Silverton road to the mine. If the road is wet and muddy because of hard rain, mine is possible...More
Go to this place early in the morning as a first stop on your way to the township of Silverton. You will travel on a gravel road through two gates on your way to the mine site. Take a tour it's not to costly and...More
We went to Silverton for a sight seeing day.
The day dream mine had open signs as we tracked down the hazardous dirt road.
Thankfully 2 nice men stopped us and let us know the mine was closed.

On the way back to Broken Hill from Silverton, we took the turn off to this mine. Well worth while but not for those who don't like confined areas. Run by a husband and wife team, it gives you an insight to the very difficult...More
Went on a tour of this mine with three friends. Very well run and very safety conscious tour guide. Very interesting and informative experience. A bit hard on the old back if you are tall having to bend down getting in and out of the...More
I did this tour with my 4 children aged between 6 - 15 years. The tour was informative and fun and included heading underground down the mine! It gave us all a glimpse of the life of a miner and how challenging it really was!...More
The mine is 12km along an unsealed road that tends to get progressively worse as you approach the minesite. I had hoped to get on the 10am tour but the queue moved slowly and it was closed off before I reached the front. However somewhat...More
I liked the tour. It was informative and it was pretty cool going underground to see the working conditions for 19th and 20th century miners. Equally good for children and older people, although the descent to level one involved being hunched over for a bit....More
Visited with husband. Jovial ticket seller but I was surprised that Devonshire Tea was not included in the $32 per adult admission. The property exuded an old time Outback air, with buildings and equipment made from whatever the owner of the time could use. Our...More

Thank you for your comments We have thought about including the scones into the price but we decided not to as some people don’t want them and as we would have to increase our price to include them so everyone would be paying for scones...More
