This is yet another of the Rothschild family homes in Buckinghamshire, still occupied for some of the year. The partly real but mostly fake Tudor outside signals a comfy home, and the interior furnishings and collections are really special.

A lovely Sunday afternoon visit. Grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Views across the hills were fabulous. The house was really attractive, and ran on a timed entry. Inside was Rothschld art collection mainly of paintings and Chinese porcelain. Interesting to look out but...More

Loads of free parking spaces. We went only to gardens (£6 per person) as were not really interested in the house, but need to admit that house looks impressive. Opening times: 1-6 pm, closed on Mondays. Gardens are extremely well kept and whole place is...More

The lovely gardens are the best part of this NT property, so go in good weather. The house has a nice ambience and feels like a family home as it does not have high ceilings and the rooms are not huge. Only a small part...More

It is only open for a few hours, the car parking is well organised. If you are not an NT member you are paying over £10. The house is interesting, with helpful volunteers, but it's a shame you can't take photos.

Although resonably local and have passed many times we finally managed a visit to Ascot House. There is disabled parking and fairly wheelchair friendly. Levelish to tea rooms and toilets, to the house and the top of the gardens - there are paths to the...More

I only went to the gardens, they alone were worth the visit. The rhododendrons and magnolias were in bloom and stunning. Great value for the few pounds admission fee.
