It's quite a cute little railway for a day out with the family. A good tip is to check out when they are holding different events including motorcycles, vintage cars etc so it's worth checking out.

Clear brown tourist signs approaching the town lead the visitor to a spacious free car park adjacent to the railway's terminus. Friendly staff sold the tickets to our party, and we departed on the last train of the day at 1520hrs. The journey, through housing...More

Since my last visit, stations at both ends completely re-modelled. Staff very helpful and informative. Excellent day out for all ages and easy to find.

This is a pay event so although it is not very long as a round trip with a stop to turn around takes roughly 60 mins or so the car park is free and they have a restaurant if you need it with toilets as...More

Took a 3 and 4 year old to have their first experience of travelling on a train. They were enthralled by the whistles, steam and any other noises the train made. They liked looking out of the "windows" and talking about things they could see....More

We thoroughly enjoyed a delightful hour or so entertaining our 2 year old grandson on the Leighton Buzzard light railway, as it puffed its way along the ends of suburban gardens, parks and then open country side. Children on board waved at motorists while our...More

Yes you can and they're dog friendly. From their website: "Well behaved dogs are welcome on our trains, as well as assistance dogs, and they travel free of charge. A bowl of water is usually available for our four-legged... More
