Once a formal garden built for Peter the Great, this popular park still has more than 80 of the original marble statues and sculptures and houses Peter's Summer Palace, a simply designed two-story building that now displays many of the ruler's own artifacts.

Fantastic - we saw a lot of palaces - all the palaces are different and I would recommend seeing all the ones you want --you simply can't say one is like the other, in my opinion. Peterhof was my favorite, though! It was simply spectacular. Our tour guide walked us around and outside into the upper and lower gardens and... More

And now came to its turn, the highest, in every sense, point of human being deed, here in Peterhof. That is the Grand Palace, which is located on one elevated site between the Lower Park and Upper Park or Garden. Just splendid elongated royal building, that with encompassing parks and fountains make one entity, designed at the times to be... More

Before visiting this park - plan your trip! 1. Book a high speed ferry two ways, 2. Apon arrival on a pierce book a tickets (or mybe they could be also bought together with a ferry), 3. Set an alarm on your way back - be on a pierce prior the people make a big queue!

I'll be honest with you (which is the point of this website)- there were so many amazing things to see and experience in Russia. But this was at the top of my list. Real solid gold walls, I've never been in a castle before, and I felt like royalty while walking through. It was fantastic. The most gorgeous architecture I've... More

Even on a cold and rainy day the tour of the Peterhof palace and gardens and fountain were unbelievable. I got wet but I didn't care. It was great and I would do it again

It's an excellence of architecture and art. The main building actually is not really big, but every details are a piece of art. The fountain is doubtless that you have to check in. The grand palace was a full no-photo museum, so maybe a little disappointment, so I took a lot in the park as a compensation :-)

The grounds and palace are simply stunning and clearly costs a fortune. As many people said "no wonder there was a revolution!" after seeing the opulence of this place. We really enjoyed wandering through the grounds. It's sad the Nazis destroyed a lot of it. Also we got here by hydrofoil which was a great experience.

Truly spectacular and how the rich lived. Enjoy walking through the gardens and looking at all the fountains. The buildings are amazing - gold paint is highly featured. Worth the trip.

This is absolutly a must thing to do while in SP. The best way to reach Peterhof is by fast boat from the locations behing Hermitage. It goes every half hour-hour, and the drive is around 45 min. It is also great way to see the sea and Finland on your right side. You need at least 4 hours there... More

It was very nice to experience this walk back in history and imagine the grandeur of the time. Unfortunately, much of this was ruined in the war so much of what you see inside is replicated.
