For anyone looking to explore new places outside of Paris, here is one I highly recommend. The parc is beautiful with lovely vistas and fountains. Lots of families strolling on weekends, even in winter when the weather is nice. The chateau holds interesting exhibits. And you are only a few stops from Paris on the RER B.

If you want to spend a few hours contemplating a beautiful garden, lakes and woods and breathe fresh air, the Parc de Sceux is the perfect place. It is approximately 20km from Paris. You can easily go with the RER (stations Sceaux or Parc de Sceaux). A must-see!

In September 2013, I visited this park. It was the summer of Le Notre. The designer behind the gardens of Versailles, the Tuileries, and various other locations in the ile-de-France area. I decided I'd try to see some of these other locations on the brochure I had picked up while in Paris. Sceaux is very peaceful with beautiful gardens to... More

The transition from the relatively busy city of Antony to the park is ensured by quiet alleys with very beautiful houses, most of them built at the beginning of the 20th century and either well maintained or refurbished in the style. When you enter the park is like teleporting yourself in the middle of the nature - all you see... More

The park is magnificent. Unfortunately, facilities for food, drinks and restrooms are not fit to accomodating the public. Parking is very difficult during the week-ends.

Parc de Sceaux is a worth a visit anytime of year. Whether for a stroll, to lie on the grass, to admire the Sakura trees in spring or to go running or exercising, all are enjoyable.

The park and the 'caste' is only a 20 minutes RER-B ride from the city, it offers an amazingly nice and scenic walking path including the open space shown in the image, plus many smaller 'hidden' walk paths across this magnificent park. The park is by the center of Sceaux, a cosy village where on can find nice Cafe and a... In the 17th century, Sceaux was the place where Jean-Baptiste Colbert, Minister of Finance to King Louis XIV, had a palace surrounded by a huge park designed by landscape architect André Le Nôtre. The chateau was demolished in 1803 and replaced, in 1860, by a much smaller mansion that is still there today. Only some elements from the 17th century... More

I used to work for a big French pharmaceutical company whose HQ is 10 mins away. I would always try and stop close by as this is a very cool place to go running. Lots of paths and a very relaxing place to visit. It's located in a very quaint part of Paris and well worth a visit.

Weather you like old buildings of the nature, this park has a lot to offer. Located about 20 minutes train ride form Paris, in the heart of Sceaux, the nice cosy village with small shops friendly cafe, this is park you must visit if you ever get to this village. It is a large spacious park with lots of small... More
