I'd heard so much about this craft brewery nestled in the grounds of the Rawdons in the gorgeous Midlands, but our experience was a bit disappointing. Half the beers weren't available to taste, and the service was slow and disjointed. Gin and beer tasting was good. Will have to go back and see if we catch them on a better day.

It’s been a while since I was last here. The last time I was amazed at the quality of the beer and this visit also hasn’t disappointed.
Did a refresher tasting beer platter followed by a glass off “Whistling Weasel” Pale Ale.
Awesome beer!
The wife tried the beer platter with me then went to a craft Pink Gin.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this place IMHO is well worth a visit.

We went through on a Sunday when it was a lot quieter. We had amazing service and sat outside on the newer deck at the Tap Room. We did the beer tasting and met a lot of very friendly local people and tourists. A pity it is not dog friendly.

We visited the Nottingham Brewery over the weekend of 12 September 2020. Having been to this jewel in the Midlands many times before, I was looking forward to a warm welcome, lots of craft beer to sample and a selection of apparel to buy. Well, we entered the Brewery and were met by two ladies who were engrossed in texting on their phones, hardly greeting us. We had to initiate contact by asking about the beer tastings that were so much fun in the past. We were told ther were tasters available at a fee, nothing more. The charming, welcoming atmosphere I experienced on previous visits was sadly missing on this visit. I did notice renovations that were in place since my last visit, but we did not use any of the facilities provided, as we felt rather xxunwelcome. Needless to say, I did not replace my old sweater, nor did we partake in any beer drinking. We left feeling rather sad and unwelcome. Would I venture back? Maybe, if only to try to try and replace my old, faded sweter.

We stayed at the hotel to be able to visit this brewery again.
We have visited many times and love the beer, so imagine our disappointment to find that although all the doors were open including the tap room, apparently it was not open and we had to go back to the hotel to try anything.
As there were 2 guys talking, loudly, in the tap room we were not happy about this and the young lass in the shop was not only not very friendly but could not work out the cost of the items we bought from the shop and it was a fair size purchase.
All the signs outside the tap room said it was open so really not impressed.
The brewery missed out on a large sale as we would have happily sat and tried all the new beers with them but they clearly did not want the custom.

The Nottingham Road Brewing company based as part of the Rawdons hotel estate.
Free parking outside the brewery we had a look around inside and then were directed over to the pub for the tasting.
We actually had a late lunch first at the pub, delicious food(curries chosen) and then we selected our beers from the two options given.
A small fee for five very different beers including a delicious porter.
Beautiful hot day, tasting beer outside in the garden area of the pub, fabulous experience.

The place is lovely, we only stopped to stock up on craft beer and gin, as the place was very busy, I think there was a wedding taking place as the pub was buzzing. The craft beer and gin is lovely, we have tasted it before so we had to stock up on this trip. The shop has lots of branded Notties items to buy, from t'shirts to glassware. As you leave the shop, driving to the gate the scenery is beautiful, we stopped and took a stroll down towards the little lake. A real gem.

The place is beautiful - old charm. There were fire places in many areas keeping everyone warm. The service was good and so was the beer. The food needs refinement - it was really not very good. We left a lot of food in our plates and no one asked for the reason - which is normal in a restaurant. We did not complain but would not return.
