Monday 20th November and we took the track alongside Planet Hollywood Hotel leading down to this Beach.
We have been here before and it was always a lively area with a number of popular Beach Shacks, which are an integral part of beach life in Goa.
Due to the delay in sorting out the triennial lottery and the ensuing bureaucracy, for the Beach Shack licences this year, there were no shacks on the beach.
Looking further down the beach in the direction of Arossim Beach some work had commenced on erecting some shacks, had not got very far.
The only thing on this stretch of beach was the water sports centre.
We walked along this practically deserted beach in the direction of Gonsua Beach, further along the coast. All we saw as we walked along the golden and white sand,
washed by the waves of the Arabian Sea, were footprints of other visitors and the tyre marks of the lifeguard's jeep that patrols the beach.
We did not encounter a single person, however, we did a large flock of birds by the water's edge and the odd dog.
It was a bit strange seeing the place so deserted, we enjoyed the solitude, I doubt that the Shack Owners' and local businesses would agree.

Serene atmosphere and the Zeebop restaurant gives a feel that we are on the beach itself. Clean place and we enjoyed eating pomfrets , icecream ,beer and soft drinks.

Wonderful white sand beach in South Goa. It is clean, and the best part is very less crowd ! We were there during long weekend and felt like a private beach. There are two beach facing restaurants- Zeebop and Jamming Goat! Both are awesome

Utorda Beach is a popular tourist destination located just ahead of Arossim Beach, and it is conveniently reachable within a 30-minute drive from Dabolim airport. This beautiful beach attracts a large number of domestic and international visitors, leading to the emergence of numerous beach shacks in recent years. While the beach itself is enjoyable, it can become quite crowded at times. However, one potential challenge I encountered during my visit was finding parking for four-wheelers, which proved to be a bit difficult.

Located in South Goa, this is one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the country. There are no crowds and the sand is very clean. There are a couple of shacks where you can get fresh seafood and chilled beer. Definitely worth a visit

The beach is quite clean beach. The beach has lots of shacks and there a lifeguard also for safety reasons. If you love to sit on the bed and and enjoy this is a perfect beach.

The UTORDA Beach is set in the south of Goa and is one of the cleanest beaches I have ever seen. Being located in South Goa the beach is not at all crowded. These beaches are mostly accessed by the residents of hotels across the beach.
The beach is clean and sand does not stick like the one in North Goa. Commercial activities like hawkers selling stuff are almost NIL. one can sit or even sleep peacefully here. We found a lot of sea shells and small crabs in the water.
Sunsets are amazing and not to be missed.

Are the beach shacks open in mid-May? What could be the other options for eating out and sight seeing?

Shacks are open thru the day and year. We went for the water sports around 11am and then had a sumptuous lunch in the shack. You will need to travel to other localities for sight seeing.

Are the shacks outside planet Hollywood open in April ? To rent beach beds

Jackson
My travel guide told me that shacks stay open till about monsoon season, Sun beds are free if you eat or drink there. You can also buy your own foldable sun bed like I did or a big beach towel can do the job too.Planet Hollywood gives lovely blue and white towels for the beach visit if you ask them.
