The hike from the Cochamo bridge up through the valley can be tough, muddy, but surely amazing! The views that you get when arriving at la Junta are splendid (approx. 4 - 5 hours from the start of he trail). From la Junta you can do various hikes that will get you on top of some of these super rocks.... More

From incredible domes (constantly being developed for climbing) to dense jungle and acrobatic hikes, Cochamo Valle has it all. The hike in is a challenge in itself (especially if it rains), think 10k of endless tunnels of mud. Fun! And once there the hikes and natural waterslides will blow your mind! Make sure to bring tons of adventurous spirit!

I think Valle Cochamo is one of the most beautiful place I have ever been. If you like open door sports such as trekking, climbing, kayak, rafting, horse hiding or even just stay in nature contemplation, you are going to the right place.

Travelled to the valley on horse as part of our stay at Camp Aventura - the valley is spectacular - photos just don't do it justice.

Valle de Cochamo is the biggest attraction around Cochamo for good reason. The 10 km hike in is relatively easy, and then you arrive at campsites surrounded by breathtaking granite monoliths. From there, you can make camp and hike any of the numerous nearby trails in a single day. This makes it a great trek for first-timers, although some of... More

Cochamó Valle is absolutely beautiful and wild. There are great views and the Valle seems like the Jurassic Park! We came from Puerto Varas to Cochamó and them through Est. Reloncavi. We crossed by Caleta Puelche-Arena. It was a great (and local) expereince, The way to there is unpaved but we did well with a sedan.

If there has been a lot of rain lately, the trail becomes an ocean of mud, but this year great weather, the refugio in La Junta is closed for the season but the campsite is fine. The summit of Arco Iris is very challenging for hikers, with fixed ropes on exposed rock slabs,. An easier hike is the waterfalls and... More

According to users, this is like the best place to get in touch with the nature. Only at two hours from Puerto Varas it is very simple to access to this place, you just need a car, a bike or pay for a bus ticket that will take you there. The only services that you can get in there are... More

I have heard about Cochamó for some years, and this summer (southern hemisphere) I had the opportunity to go there. The valley is absolutely fantastic. I imagine Yosemite centuries ago. Places for camping and a small "refugio" are at three hours walking. There are some horses for those who does´t want to walk and for backpacks. No option for buying... More
