Several music bars and restaurant on the seashore, with beautiful view of the harbour. My favourite spot is Titanic, for the quality of the food and the comfortable seats and tables but also the others are no less. Easy to reach from Accra, you can take any tro-tro to Tema.

I loved my time at the Sakumono beach. I haven't been to any other beach in Ghana so I don't have that comparison. But it seemed to have a good local feel, no hotels, no entrance fee. I went on a holiday so it was pretty crowded. There were plenty of places to get food and they had horses there for rides (5 cedis for a picture, 10 for a ride). I didn't see bathrooms or a place to change. There was some trash and plastic at one end of the beach but most of it was clean. The waves were huge which I loved. Water was really nice temperature. If you are looking for a low key beach with a local feel then this is for you.

Sakumono, Great for bird watching.
With Celebrity Golf course and recreational facilities. Great for family day out.

Some great birds visible from the pull off near the road. Highlights were Black Heron, MarsH harrier, Collared Pratincol and very close-up views of Kingfishers.
