Interesting 18th century fortress with typical functional quasi-military architecture. You can visit the site on your own and it is relatively easy and straight forward but if you have a group of five of more you can ask for a tour.

Unimposing but interesting enough to spend an hour or so. The modest but informative museum alone is worth the visit.

Bit pricey for what it is...entrance more than many ruins. The exposition explaining more about history and Mayan trade is interesting as is the skeleton and the magnificent views.

The Fort is small but the exhibits are in English and the history is interesting. Another reason to visit are the great views of the lagoon.

Worth the few pesos entrance fee. One can learn how the Spanish Conquers found and built the fort. Worth the time to tour.
