This area is heaven on earth. The single most beautiful place I've ever seen. Perfect to take a couple of hours to walk around the lake or even rent a boat for half an hour.

We decided to visit this place due to some great images we've seen in the internet. We thought it would be a hike but its nothing more than a tourist attraction right now. There are lots of parking slots right in front of the sea (5min until you can see the lake). To park there costs 5-6€. Unfortunately we started... More

Visited the lake on a nice hot summer day and we couldn't ask for more. Walked all around the lake and managed to find a space to dip our feet in the refreshing water. The walk on one side (the right) is relatively easy and flat, though on the left there are quite a number of steps going up and... More

It´s an amazing lake in the middle of the mountains. There is a big parking lot, a bar, a restaurant...but the best thing you can do is walking around the lake. It takes 1 hour and a half making photos all the time. The path is easy and a little bit steepy at the beginning if you do the walk... More

I would recommend taking the public transport bus from Dobbiaco to the lake. I'm not sure about the cost as we drove. The parking alone was 6 euros ! But the lake was stunning. Everything i expected from it having seen the pictures. Bonus was that it has a beautiful sunny day with hardly any wind at all. This also... More

This is such a beautiful spot in the Dolomites! We drove up from Cortina- we had researched this lake and wanted to hike around it. We brought our picnic lunch and took photos. We had never seen such blue- green clear water. There were some trees turning yellow and orange and this was magnificent against the blue water. It was... More

We were staying in the Pragser Wildsee so we were able to enjoy the lake before the crowds. To get the best photographic shots you need to be at the boathouse on the lakeside by 6.30a.m. You can then walk round the lake in an hour. By 10a.m. the only relative peace you can get is by hiring a boat... More

During several centuries this place was a miracle, a legend linked to the Ladin sagas, a hidden gem of Dolomites. I visited it several years ago and felt in love with it. It was a synonym of tranquility, peace and magic. I returned this year to see it again... it looks as a Disneyland. The disaster starts when you come... More

Lovely walk around a beautiful emerald lake mirroring the dolomites; a couple of hours walking, an easy one, very pleasant. Bring a pic nic, the restaurant are busy and expensive. You can hire a boat for 30 mins (12 euros), lovely view. The only let down is the parking, 5 euros. Well signposted, plenty of parking space; very busy in... More

A relatively easy 6 kilometres round trip. Beautiful scenery all around. Soaring mountains. Blue sky and a lake that is pristine and emerald. A wonderful walk
