About
Temaiken is a foundation that studies, promotes and makes information available on the protection of Nature. It is based on three mainstays: RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND PRESERVATION. In order to carry out its mission of promoting the study, research, knowledge and communication of all matters related to flora and fauna, fostering a sense of respect for the preservation and restoration of the environment, Temaiken has: • A Biopark, located in the city of Belen de Escobar to communicate environmental issues and raise awareness on people, through entertainment and contact with nature. • A Natural Reserve in the Province of Misiones that works as a "biological shock absorber" for the Teyu Cuare Provincial Park, extending the protected area of the pristine rainforest. Temaiken also co-manages 2 Provincial Parks: Cruce Caballero and Araucarias, both part of the Pino Parana Forest ecosystem, also in the Province of Misiones. • Educational Programs for the purpose of "Educating to Preserve" Temaiken provides institutions with its educational programs adapted to school curricula and applicable to all levels of education: Initial, PEB, ESB, High School, Primary School, Secondary School and Special Education. This work is supplemented by Teachers Training Courses and activities with the communities located within the ecosystems under protection or to be protected. • Research and Preservation Programs. Various programs are carried out at the Foundation: Protected Areas, Endangered Species and Marine Biodiversity. These programs comprise the specific Preservation Projects aimed at achieving Temaiken's purpose: The Preservation of native species, particularly endangered species. • A Center for Reproduction of Species (CRET)where animal Rehabilitation and Reproduction programs are carried out, supporting both Preservation Programs and the authorities governing the illegal trafficking of animals. These programs focus on rehabilitating animals that are later returned to their habitat as part of various release and reintroduction programs.

This was a wonderful experience for the family. Having a fantastic range of animals and offering some unique viewpoints as well. To see the tigers and the aquarium were the best parts by far, however being able to walk amongst the birds was also fantastic. it is not the easiest place to get to from central Buenos Aires, we were able to get an Uber which was quite reasonable, but it was a little more difficult to get one home, although after about 30 minutes we managed to get one. That should not stop you from visiting this place, as the whole experience is wonderful, there is lots to see an it does take the best part of a day to get around.

The worst thing is probably the food which is lacking in options and not the tastiest, but they do allow you to bring your own food. next time we come we will bring our own picnic and the experience will be wonderful.

This park was beautiful, I enjoyed walking through it, I guess one needs at least two days to thoroughly take in and enjoy all their is to this park. It was refreshing, relaxing and enjoyable despite the very hot Argentinian sun.

This competently-designed park is an interesting outing from Buenos Aires. Shady spots, food stops everywhere, children-friendly games and activities.

Clean and well-maintained, the park has beautiful aviaries, a couple of nice large felines, interesting south american fauna. Somewhat disappointing in insects (almost none), marine fishes and marine mammals or birds (no penguins or seals), but overall interesting. Plan for 3 hours onsite, price for foreigners is more than for Argentine nationals (1700 ARS in jan 2020).

Hot to get there ? Bus 194 at Santa Fe Ave. to Escobar (85 ARS in jan 2020), then either walk for 15 minutes or wait for bus 164 (pay again using your SUBE). 1h30 total travel time.

Train might also be an option. Easiest is probably to take advantage of an organized day-tour.

The aquarium was real cool best part of the park but no giraffe, no lion, no elephants so its missing animals to be worth the more than1 hour trip from Buenos Aires! Food was not very good either! Don’t order the burgers or chicken nuggets maybe the worst nuggets Ova ever tried, mushy inside!!

Oh, it was a beauty as you enter. Flamingoes, zebra, cheetah, birds, monkies, hippo, fishes and bats were amazing. Our group got a closer look at the bats which was quite interesting. Great attraction for young & old.

Temaiken is like an open zoo park with acquariums and other attraction centers. The park and vegetation is beautiful, and the way the animals are set is excellent as weel, they are quite free, when possible.
Recomended for children all ages as well as teen agers, adults ... everybody.

Im not a big fan of zoos, but this place is pretty great. The best part is Aquirium with marvelous varieties of both sea and river fauna. The Bird area is really beyond imagination since it is bordered by huge nests and when you enter blocked zone you arein the same space as birds, that is a little dangerous or frightening if you have a phobia, yet pretty exciting.
