Excellent Gothic specimen. Like the best in Europe but close to home! They have cleaned all the stone so you can see the thousands of typical details of these works perfectly. Lovely. Maybe the environment is a bit discouraging. But the basilica itself is worth visiting. Inside it caught my attention less but it is beautiful anyway. To know.

We had read about this gorgeous Basilica in Lujan. It was indeed truly magnificent. The town itself however was nothing special. The transportation museum across the plaza from the Basilica was quite interesting. We were not charged to enter. It is a shame it is so shabby I’m not kept up because it had some very interesting planes boats carriages and a train.

We stopped here on a business drive through to Junín so we didn’t go out of our way to see this. I was struck by the similarity to Notre Dame; especially the mini spire in the back. It didn’t have the wooden structure inside but it was a close replica of the Paris icon.

Beautifully restored, this impressive basilica is well worth a day's trip to see. You can take a tour or go on your own. Souvenir shops line the long approach to the basilica and dot the square in front of it. The best shots of the entire basilica can be taken from there. The architecture is fabulous.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring a lunch. We walked around to find a decent place to eat close-by but found none. Just an ice-cream shop and a pizzeria. The local restaurants on the square are third-rate and get overly crowded with tourists. You will have to wait a long time to get a table, if you get one at all, and food is under par. We could not raise a waiter and when we finally ordered, the food was badly cooked and arrived lukewarm.

Nice quiet town with this amazing Basilica. Words can not describe this amazing site. Breath taking architecture a total shrine. Inside the basilica your eyes get lost seeing so much beauty. if you visit lujan you must visit the museum for a fee. but is worth it. you can see all the virgins from the world. very interesting.

Worth to listen to the priest at least for a while, it was fun and participative. The church is in good shape. All around the church there are little kiosks with souvenirs. Nice to walk around. Behind the church there is an entertainment park that is fantastic. I recommend the telespheric there in which you cross the Lujan river.

breathtaking!:) only sad part was that i saw dogs roam the inside of the church and using it as a toilet.

Though a Catholic religious site in itself, the Basilica offers all visitors alike the chance of learning about the history of the town of Lujan and its patron saint. There is a famous pilgrimage that takes place in October every year.Unfortunately, this wonderful construction suffers, at times, the threat of floods.

Impressive church from outside, but inside nothing dramatic. The Basilica is the only attraction in town, to maybe worth ignoring, if You have limited time available. On other hand You can take the bus from Once Station and pay 10 pesos for the trip.

the basilica is a good place to visit , half of a day is enough to make a full tour inside , despite the crowd of visitors the place remains quiet without noise .
