Overview
More
Longview is a stunning family owned Australian vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills. Set on undulating slopes reminiscent of classic old world estates, it has quickly established itself as one the most awarded vineyards in the region since its first vintage in 2001. With gorgeous 4 star accommodation, breathtaking views from cellar door, immensely popular Sunday tapas and a most sought after function centre, Longview Vineyard is more than just a premium wine producer: it is one of the most impressive wine tourism destinations in South Australia and the 'Pick of the Adelaide Hills'. Want to drink in the surroundings a little longer? The accommodation on Longview's stunning 200 acre property has become one of the Adelaide Hills' primary get-away destinations. Offering gourmet breakfast provisions, modern amenities and lush furnishings, you may never want to leave. The lovingly restored Longview Homestead can be used as one large residence or two private apartments. Comprised of beautifully appointed King and Queen Bedrooms and a large sun room this heated and air conditioned home is large enough to sleep 10 but perfect for a luxurious two person getaway. The Homestead is equipped with two newly renovated modern spa bathrooms, a full kitchen and second kitchenette, a spacious lounge with state-of-the-art entertainment system, free wi-fi and private balconies with breathtaking views. In true B & B style we include breakfast provisions and award winning Longview wine. If cooking is not on your agenda, we're less than 5 minutes from the Three Brothers Arms and Macclesfield Hotels. Longview is also 14km from the historic town of Strathalbyn, where you can enjoy meals and entertainment at the award winning Victoria Hotel or spend the day on High Street perusing famous antique stores. As an alternative to our Homestead, superb accommodation awaits you in the modern Longview Vineyard Suites - 12 king rooms that usher in another phase of Longview hospitality. Built on gentle slopes surrounded by our Pinot Noir, these sparkling lodgings have private balconies and showcase contemporary architecture beautifully juxtaposed with the majestic rural surrounds that have made our vineyard such a popular get-away destination. Also, as a special treat to our guests, we have created a slightly larger Spa Suite, complete with a Jacuzzi bath tub for two looking out at the vines through floor to ceiling windows or shaded for your privacy. Each elegantly decorated suite has a king bed, flat screen TV, a self-contained kitchenette, en-suite bathroom, reverse cycle air-conditioning, free wi-fi and the latest appliances. Gourmet breakfast provisions and our award winning wine are provided to each guest and the close proximity to our cellar door, function centre, veranda and lush lawns ensures that further relaxation is only seconds away.
