Less crowded , beautiful beach. But shacks exploit prices and they are money minded. They are rude and welcome only if u make a bill more than 2000 otherwise they will ask you to leave. I visited palolem, colva, benelium. But majorda was bitter experience only due to shacks and price is 2x times as compared to other beaches in south goa. I suggest carry your food and umbrellas if you don't want to pay prices 5x times for every food item you buy

Tuesday 5th March and we were back here again, and we walked across this beach,  which we previously did in November 2023.

On this occasion It was good to see that there were beach shacks on the beach. Back in November there were two makeshift shacks doing their best to operate as result of the debacle of the licences being issued.

This popular beach, with it's golden sand, is situated along the coast between Utorda and to Gonsua Beaches.

For many reasons, the main one being the lack of tourist numbers, but there were only two shacks on the beach. The two old stalwarts, Mish Mar and Cameron, erected their shacks which they have done for twenty plus years.

Melban Water Sports were also on the beach, providing a number of activities including parachute rides.

The main access to the Beach is by the steps at the end Marjorda Beach Road, by Leo's Corner Cafe/Bar. From there a makeshift rustic bridge spans the river at the back of beach, the width and length of river depend on the sea levels and high tides.

The Shack owners have put strips of course matting on the sand, so that guests can easily walk to their shacks.

As we walked along the beaches we did get glimpses of the crumbling Majorda Beach Resort Hotel.

We also encountered a number of beach sellers, whom we have known for many years of coming to Goa. We had more of a friendly chat than any sales patter on their part.

For some reason, the river continued to make it's way across the beach to the sea, it normally disappears for a while and returns at regular intervals. As result Mish Mar has constructed a bridge from the shack to the sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach on the other side of the river.

We visited this popular beach a couple of times during our recent and previous stays in the area.

It is located along the south Goan coast between the beaches of Utorda and Gonsua. We got here on one occasion by walking along the beach from Utorda and on another from Gonsua.

On another occasion we accessed the Beach from Leo's Corner at the bottom of Majorda Beach Road. From there we crossed over a small concrete bridge which spanned the river.

The level and direction of the river's flow is affected by high tides and full and new moons, however it does wind it's way along the beach. So for this purpose two makeshift rustic wooden bridges abut the concrete bridge. They lead visitors across the river directly to the two main beach Shacks, Mish Mar and Cameron's

At the top of the bridges we were greeted by a number of guys trying to entice us to visit their respective Shacks.

This is a busy and lively stretch of the beach, the Shacks provide sun loungers, umbrellas and bright coloured fabric covered pergolas for the use of their guests. The sun loungers are tighly packed together and stretch out along the golden sand, which is washed by the warm waters of the Arabian Sea.

It is a colourful spectacle, when approaching the beach from any direction with multi colourful banners, flags and vibrant coloured fabric pergolas by the Shacks.

There is also a Water Sports kiosk along the beach providing various activities and boat trips.

There are lifeguards patrolling the beach with safety flags at strategic points. The sea is very safe to swim in with a shallow incline and no stones or rocks. The waves can be forceful and small children should be supervised. This is possibly the widest beach in Goa with several bars and restaurants along the vast stretch. Plenty of sunbeds with lots of portable shade. There’s a peripatetic masseur who is moderately reasonable in price and lots of hawkers who, with polite and positive “no”s, move along.

Just had another stunning meal at Andrea's in majorda. Authentic food at proper prices. Been coming here for 8 years from when they first started. Family only run. Service is impeccable, nothing too much for them. Produce bought locally every day. Can't get any fresher . Only six tables best to book. Many repeat customers. Decent coffee which is hard to find on Goa . Also clean and modern toilets

This strech of beach is along the coast of south Goa it lies between Utorda and Gonsua beaches. We did walk that route a number of time during our two recent stays in December and February.

The beach is accessible by car or on foot down Majorda Beach Road, there is parking available by Leo's Corner at the entrance to the beach.

Back in December the football World Cup Final was shown on a large screen here, a party atmosphere. There was some large size cut out images of famous footballers by the beach entrance advertising the event.

A concrete bridge with steps, over the small river, leads visitors to a very rustic wobbly wooden bridges which becomes necessary when water levels are high. From that point long strips of matting to the Beach Shack of their choice, rather than walking on hot sand.

This season there were three large beach shacks here, The Beach House (Alex Place), The Cameron and Mish Mar. Each of them had a large number of sunbeds, umbrellas and pergolas for their customers use. They all contribute to making this section of the beach rather busy, crowded and noisy. In addition Meban waters sports are located here and provide parachute rides, jet skis and other inflatable rides.

For a quieter life, there's a smaller permanent shack, Aquarian, set way back at the back of the beach. There were only a handful of sunbeds and umbrellas here.

A handful of beach sellers do walk along the beach and in between the sunbeds, trying to sell their goods, mainly jewellery and clothing. It is part of the experience of the beach.

There is a virtually deserted strech of beach from Majorda up to Utorda and down to Gonsua if you fancy spreading out beach mats and towels on the white sand.

We were here in September, right on the beach, whole day we would find the beach empty except a few people early morning and in the evening. The whole beach became like a private beach. The beach is a little off the main road, probably thats the reason its not crowded. There are good accommodation and eating joints around. A typical south goa experience.

I have been going to Majorda and Utorda for over 25years. I was in Majorda from Febrauary to End of June 2020. The beach is very clean and you can walk from here to Colva. Many shacks on the way. Good walk in the morning and you can see fishermen and boats landing on the beach. Dolphins are a regular site .Beautiful sun rise and sunset . During lockdown ,the beach was dirty , which is understandable. I would recommend this beach .
I would also recommend a small resturant at the crossroads of Rainbow corner . The buses run from this corner. This is a local resturants for the locals and don't see any tourists. The name of the resturant is Prakash Resturant. It has limited menue, but the food is delicious and very cheap. Well worth a visit or have a takeaway. Resturant is family run. Mother and sons.

We had a great time here. If one is in north goa, Majorda is the closest in the south of Goa to visit. We had all Nepali guys who owned the shacks. Food was good and reasonably priced. We were given place (beds) on beach to rest & towels complimentary. Beach is clean and sea is good to swim.
