We've canoed on the Dordogne before but this trip was even better. Park up in St Antonin and then you canoe down to Cazel and then they bus you back. They don't do boats for 4 people so we had two canoes for the 4 of us (2 adults and 12yr and 9yr old). We set off about 10.30am and... More

Great staff, great equipment, good briefing, good dry storage on the canoes. We went with two children ages 10 & 6, we took two canoes and had one adult/child in each. All the equipment is on site, we were given safety jackets, our waterproof barrel big enough to fit all our picnic in one and the other with towels, swim... More

I have to agree with a previous reviewer that nature-escapade put us on the water ill-prepared for the conditions. They did not check the age or experience of members of our party, described the river as tranquil and calm rather than explaining in detail the potential dangers posed by the Rapids, weirs and slide. They did not check we had... More

The guys give you plenty of information at the beginning of the trip. Sadly none of it tallies with the river course itself. Perhaps they have just learned it by rote without going near the water- I'm not sure- but basically once you ignore their well intended advice it works better. Or at least is less stressful. When the water... More

We came here to kayak for a half day trip. Very professional company and very efficient. The largest outfit on the river and on a perfect spot right on the river. Quality equipment and a video in French and English of the river and how to go through the Rapids. Beautiful route and very efficient team to collect you at... More

Came across this company through trip advisor and can agree with the good reviews it has. Communicating with the team was very easy and they were extremely accommodating. We called the previous day to find out about availability, as the weather was changing a lot, and were happy to find out that they were flexible to fit in a canoe... More

We booked a canoe trip with Nature Escapade for Saturday 25th June 2016, sending an e-mail to Isabelle a week before to check availability. She quickly replied to say there would be no problem in doing so, all we needed to do was phone a day in advance. This I did, speaking directly with Isabelle, who mentioned that due to... More

We were looking for a family kayaking trip and came across Nature Escapade on Trip Advisor. Given the excellent reviews we visited the centre and booked for the following afternoon (I would recommend booking ahead at really busy times). We had a brilliant day on the water. The kayaking is very safe (with a few exciting bits - but absolutely... More

What a great time we all had, the owners and staff are all fun people ,easy to communicate with , they made sure we were safe and helped us along the way. Canoeing down the river is great and is easy to manage. You can stop and take a break for lunch if you like ,overall quite relaxing.Great way to... More
