The pass is quite high and the road is gravel. There are couple of nice panoramic points for taking snaps. On the decent towards the Lake there are locals yurts where you can taste horse milk and cream with freshly baked bread.

The gravel road climbs to 3346 meters (just under 11,000 feet) to cross this pass. The views are spectacular.
We were residing in a yurt camp and our guide needed to make a cell phone call. He got a signal at the pass. A local livestock man rode a horse to the pass for the same purpose.

Yet another great mountain pass. One crosses this pass to reach Lake Song Kol from the west. The pass is 3346 meters and provides stunning views all the way around.

From Naryn City you can hire a private taxi that can take you to Son-Kul. There is more than one way to get to Son-Kul but the best way is to go over the Moldo-Ashu pass. The pass is about 3200 m and many people love the views you can get to Son-Kul. Really its amazing! Just watch out of there is bad weather and even in July there can be snow up there so dress warm and be ready for anything!
