Fantastic place to visit. The water (unlike many spots in the NT) is actually cold and refreshing to get into. We got down there and there were only 2 other people in the water (10am on a Thursday) and it was just incredible! There are lots of stairs to get up but my 5yo had no problem doing so. Definitely recommend

We walked in the sightseeing way and then out via the stairs. It was a decent walk in with the heat. the water is cooler but lovely with the two waterfalls. Worth a visit.

Beautiful scenery, magical swimming in these falls. Need to be able to go down 160 steps to get to these falls though & back up again.

Beautiful walk from the carpark either via the stairs or a slightly longer (but beautiful) walk along the creek. Water is crystal clear and the current wasn’t too strong on the day we went but you need to be a reasonable swimmer to be nearer to the falls. There is some spots near the stairs to chill and cool off. Highly recommend these falls. Just stunning with a natural amphitheatre.

No matter where one travels, waterfalls seem to capture the interest of travelers from all around the world. Florence Falls is no exception. Waters from the Buley Rock Hole flow to Florence Falls. We learned the tabletop plateau has several spring-fed streams. During the dry season, the water stored in sponge-like underground cracks seeps out to feed this waterfall. Swimming is allowed in designated areas only. Some of the trees in the area are Carpentaria Palms, scraggily shrubs and pine-shaped trees.

From the parking area there it is a short walk to the falls eventually via Shady Creek walk. When you arrive at the lake you will see the beautiful lake and waterfall. It is possible to swim in the lake. Be careful because the area is very rocky. The Shady Creek walk is a very nice walk in the shady forest where you will see a lot of different nature.

Very recommendable.

There are some wonderful waterholes in the Northern Territory and this is one of them A beautiful small-ish pool with two waterfalls feeding it. As other people have noted there are a 170-odd steps down to the pool but there's also a 1km shady track if you don't fancy the stairs. There were lots of people there but not too many to make it uncomfortable. A lovely relaxing swim.

A beautiful place but like most swimming spots in Litchfield, it was crowded. As others suggested, we walked down the steps and returned via the walk along the creek which was worthwhile. We were there by 9am and there were lots of people already, plenty of room to swim though. A deep rock hole, lots of people using pool noodles to float around.

Fantastic experience not to be missed. Deep water hole. Cooler water than most. Take noodles to help the experience. Be prepared for the walk in/out. Steep and lots of steps. No facilities at the bottom. The fish can have a little nibble at your feet but won’t hurt. Try to avoid peak times if you can.
