We were welcomed by the owner and his son. They are so happy to share the family business with visitors. I was surprised that there is such a history of wine making here. The wine is delightful and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

This was the only winery we did on Santorini. Brief tour of fermentation process proceeding our tasting. As well as a thorough explanation of each wine we tasted. All the traditional Assyrtiko wines were great. Try the red Maypotpatano. It was our favorite!

We've tried a lot of wine while we were in Greece. The best one is the blue Santorini Assyrtiko wine from Gavalas. Amazing with seafood and cheeses.

We Were lucky enough to share our wine tasting with Mr. Gavalas who explained us a lot of things about the local variety of Asyrtiko. One thing is sure, we'll visit the place again
