- miachi46 contributionsSimply wonderful - a hidden treasureThis afternoon music presentation and tour is such a wonderful and unique experience. For people who love music and culture and mythology, this is the place for you. Argy and Yannis are wonderful hosts, the courtyard is beautiful, Megalochori is charming and quaint. I wish we had been there on a Thursday for their evening concert/show. It was an unexpected highlight of our entire trip!Visited June 2023Written 30 June 2023

This garden is full of shady spots and trees that bear fruit along with herbs etc. a nice respite but no view from here. We had a coffee and looked in the “museum” where they hold musical experiences. It was a nice place but the juice we had was weak and disappointing. There were ants everywhere as well. One we won’t be going back to.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 July 2023

Everyone there was absolutely lovely and so incredibly welcoming, as well as being so knowledgeable, not to mention how incredibly talented Yannis is and how amazing it was to see his music playing!! (Also the honey wine is incredible) We booked on to the music workshop and pan pipe making, and I would describe these as a total must-do if you're going to Santorini - it was for sure one of our favourite things we did out there, so fascinating and such an uplifting experience, and in a gorgeous building too.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 September 2023

Stumbled into by accident. An incredible place focused on historical music and instruments. MUST see the show/performance. Also, a pretty courtyard for a glass of beer or wine.

For me, this was probably the one of the highlights of our 10 day honeymoon in Greece. My wife is much more musically inclined than me, but I still found this experience to be so much fun! Yiannis is so full of energy and passion and, not to mention, quite funny.
He is exceptional at playing with many of these ancient instruments and part of the experience is each person playing a particular instrument as he leads you along. Not only that, but you can drink some wine prior to the experience starting. It’s quite the hidden gem in Santorini.

Just superb. This is a lovely thing to do in Megalachori, Santorini. Even from the moment you arrive, and you enter the shady, beautiful courtyard, you get the feeling it’s going to be good.
Yannis is a brilliant musician and engaging host. The tour through the music and instruments of Greece is both interesting and entertaining, and the chance to get involved yourself, surprising and joyous. My husband was chosen as ‘master drummer’ which he was thrilled with. We thoroughly recommend it.

It was an incredible and breath taking experience. We played music together and were tought about greek mythology. Personally I am not a musician but I had nearly tears in my eyes. Yannis has so much passion in what he does, it touched my heard so much that he literally made me think about life. Thank you for that!

We had been told about this place but stumbled across it by accident. My wife an I looked around and although I am not somebody who would seek out his sort of place I found it interesting as I do like local culture/history. We noticed the 'Echoes' concert and this was on the day before we left, so thought it would be a nice relaxing ending to our break. Despite classing myself as somebody who wouldn't normally listen to this type of music, the evening was enchanting and the performers are clearly talented and enjoy their art.
It was a perfect end to a most relaxing a special time ion Santorini

We stumbled upon this amazing setting on a day out in Megalochori. We stopped simply to have a look and get a drink in the beautiful courtyard. We had the pleasure of talking to Argy who told us a bit about the place and turned out the next evening there was a live music event of 'Echos'. We booked on for the showing and are we glad we did! Such an amazing event, like nothing we have ever experienced before. The ambiance and atmosphere of the whole evening was stunning. We had a bottle of wine and sharing platter which was delicious. The knowledge of the local wines was second to none and resulted in us purchasing the most delicious bottle of red to enjoy. The music and melodies performed by Yannis was so individual and captivating and with a variety of string and percussion instruments. Thank you for the amazing evening and to Argy, Yannis and all of the staff, this is an evening we will never forget. Scarlett and Michael
