We think it should be. Nothing too showy with pleasant staff and FREE tasting! Reasonable prices and they stock local wine made from local vines too. A rarity really since they cannot be found in the supermarkets we looked at.

Stopped here as part of a half day tour. Not much to look at but it was quite interesting to look at all the barrels and see how old they were.

I arrived at around 11am,so it was quiet, but I was greeted by a charming lady on the first floor, who gave me a potted history of H&H, along with some interesting facts and figures about the wine itself. It's a much smaller operation than...More

Not a winery, but a place where their Madeira wines are stored and aged in oak barrels. They started making wine in 1850. The staff was very help and knowledgeable in answering questions and explaining there wines. You get 3 free, very good tastes.

Attractive space, smells lovely, well laid out with clear information. Somewhat spoilt by what I can only describe as snotty staff, one of whom shrieked at us when one of our party put too much wine in their shot glass. Woman behind the shop counter...More

We went to taste and buy wine. We tried the 15 year old wines and my wife liked the strongly wooded style which reminded her of whisky.

The smell when you walk in here is so lovely but to be honest there's not much to see or do. The staff are lovely and quite knowledgeable and let you taste the 3 yr old wines. The shop is small but has a variety....More
