For someone who suffers vertigo on a bar stool, the prospect of a glass platform was truly frightening. However, I loved it. The views were stunning and the pattern in the glass made it less scary. Be bold.

Not advisable if one fears heights Cabo Girão is a must in Madeira. The views are stunning as you stand on a glass floor platform overlooking the sea and the island. The only negative point are the crowds.

We are staying next to Cabo Girão and so have been up 3 times, views are great but you would only spend 10-15 mins up there. There is a nice looking cafe and gift shops too.

It’s great to see, the glass platform over the cliffs, but somehow not what I expected as it was over allotments below, not crashing waves..... it’s some way out of Funchal so can be reached by tour bus €8 or taxi €25. Fabulous surrounding views...More

Easy transfer to another yellowbus on the tour takes you up to top. Great views and the chance to look down through the glass floor .

Great view, and no charge! Lovely local musician playing traditional music too added to the moment, elsewhere around the world this opportunity would cost!

Many of the roads in and around the area are very narrow, just barely allowing two way traffic. That being said, that is true of nearly all the roads in Madeira outside of the main VR routes. I wouldn't say they are... More

Hello. I don't think it's really called the Noddy Train! It's really a 'road train' that starts alongside a coffee shop a couple of streets above the harbour. If you Google 'Madeira Green Train', you'll find it. I hope this... More
