Dramatic view from a high cliff
The skywalk is a short walk from the parking lot, and admission is 2 Euro and can be paid with cash or a credit card from the automated machine. Unfortunately, you must pay 0.50 Euro to use the toilets. 10-15 minutes is all that you need to see the views and return to your vehicle.

    nice experience
Dramatic view from the cliff top. The glass floor is doing its job and makes you realise that height! Need to pay before entry. Also, very small car park so recommend visiting outside of peak times.

Part of West side mini bus Tour. Very busy with tourists but well worth it.
We stopped here as part of a mini bus tour we were doing but it was very busy with other large bus tours and other mini bus tours and people just in cars. There is toilets and cafe and bits of souveneir places but the main part is the glass sky walk which overhangs the cliffs. As say very busy trying to get onto here and some not going on the glass bit (my hubby included) but did go to see the views from there and take photos and took photos of myself on the glass sky walk. Very impressive place and definately worth a visit when in Madeira.

    what a view
What a view! 2 euros for an adult and children are free. There are toilets, cafe and souvenir shop when you enter. Walking past these you reach the view point, 589 meters up. There is a solid view point you can stand on and enjoy the view and for the more daring you can take 3 small steps down and onto the glass floor where you cab see all the way down the cliff onto the beach and sea below. It was such a great experience and the views out were spectacular. We definitely recommend this place. We stayed for a drink and a bathroom break, both of which facilities are good. All in all we were there around 45 minutes.

One of the best viewpoints in Madeira
The entrance costs 2€/person, there’s free parking, got lucky to come (~13pm) after dozens of tourists groups went back to their buses, so we didn’t run into them neither at the viewpoint, neither driving to the top of the mountain, because the road was a bit scary. The view is worth a visit. The glass floor makes it more special (and of course adds more fear). It’s said that sometimes you can see the whales or dolphins in a distance, but we didn’t get a chance to see any. There were a lot of butterflies, birds flying above our heads. Also, ran into very friendly and cute black dog! Plus, there are many souvenir shops (good prices, we found many interesting things, for example: stones; so, we had quite a shopping with Madeira wine, poncha’s and e.c. Nice that we got a discount from the seller. We liked this place.

    Worth a short visit.
It's a great spot if it isn't too crowded. Good views back towards Funchal. This is about the height of the cliff rather than the view. Also, take note of how close to the cliff edge some of the land is cultivated.

    Stunning view
Although not many things to do, it worths 2 EUR to give a check. No need to say how spectacular the ocean looks, it’s sometimes bit crowded but still, good to spend some time there. Return Bolt could wait quite long, better to call a Bolt on app in advance.

    Great glass floor experience
Lovely view, scary glass floor. All nice and clean and safe..you can't begrudge them the 2 euro entry..toilets, cafe and gift shop before you walk in. Can also do levada walks etc from here...the village below is lovely too to look around.

Amazing experience, but not for those with vertigo
We were lucky. We took the yellow bus tour, there were no other coaches there and so it was not too crowded. €2 to get to the viewing platform which is reasonable and the views were outstanding. Had a bit of a Marilyn Monroe moment as it gets a bit breezy standing on the grated section of the platform, so hold on to your skirt! Overall, well worth a visit.

    Amazing views and wonderful experience
Amazing views! Not one for those with vertigo or fear of heights, but definitely worth a visit. From the top of one of the tallest cliffs in Europe, you get great panoramic views over the Atlantic and a terrific (terrifying) view vertically, 588m to the ocean and coastline below. You can stand on the glass-bottomed viewing platform and get some wonderful shots. It’s a shame that the tour that we’d booked goes there, but doesn’t include the tickets in the price but it was worth the extra couple of Euros. Madeira has stunning views from the mountains, anyway, but this is an added extra. Having said that, it does seem to be a bit excessive, charging for entrance to a perfectly natural view… they’ve deliberately planted tall trees around it, so you can’t see the view without paying to get in. I suppose the price goes to the upkeep of the safety of the platform, though.

The views here are breathtaking. That being said, it is very difficult to get to - we used the Yellow Hop on Hop off bus, which had a connecting bus to the observation deck at one of the stops. The entrance fee is 2€. Once you are up, there is not much to do. We spent about 30 minutes on the observation deck and then were ready to head down.

It's a nice view and easy to reach. However, it's not too special.

Quite crowded most of the days, but price is fair and hence it's worth a short visit.

Views to beat them all. A very worthwhile visit. Only suggestion - is there a way to arrange a visit from a window cleaner? The underside of the glass could do with a bit of a wipe over! Is there a ‘Superman’ on the Island?
Would make a huge difference. Still give it 5 Stars though.

It used to be free! Now one has to buy a ticket.

Have been here before, so didn’t bother.

Horrible to see the pollution over Funchal.

Of course we had to visit here to experience the glass floor , but it wasn’t the hiliight of our tour of the island . Absolutely packed with coaches full of tourists and the glass floor is so dirty the impact is below par .
However , the views are spectacular.

There are lot of spectacular views in Madeira and I am not sure this is the best one but it still seems to be a "must visit" option, not least because of the famous glass-bottomed viewing balcony. It can be busy but people circulate pretty well. Sun and the time of day may affect your photo options so mid day or possibly later would be best. It's enjoyable and worth the visit.

Consider one of the dolphin cruises to see the cliff from the sea.

Great view, easy parking. Ticet price 2 eur/adult. Toilet 0,5€. We did not have cash and of course it was not possible to pay toilet visit by card. Extremely unfriendly reaction from the cashier.

The place to be in Madeira. 600 m nothing beneath your feet. A very impressive view.
Only 2 € entrance . It's busy but not crowded. We'll be back.
