Lovely, long golden sandy beach with refreshments, beds and sunshades. You can walk 2/3 miles along the sands.

Stunning, unspoilt beach. 275 steps down (and up) but amazing views, plenty of rest spots and seats made the walk pleasant. The steps are shady and well paced.

At the time of our visit there seemed to be a reclamation of beach in progress, involving a dredger anchored a couple of hundred metres from the beach, pumping dredged sand from the sea bed onto the beach, where a digger spread it about. If...More

The nearby Falesia beach is miles long and very deep when tide is out so there should be plenty of room, although we haven't been in August. Albufeira is much more crowded anyway, even out of season. Hotel has shuttle bus... More
