We took a river boat trip along this river and saw many type of wildlife including a rare orange howler monkey. A great way to spend a relaxing few hours.

Thoroughly enjoyed two boat trip in the refuge. Take insect repellent if ashore. When you see a particular critter be sure to do a 360 asyou may be surprised at what else you see.

We took a boat tour through Canoa Aventura to Caño Negro. The boat ride was amazing! We saw monkeys, caiman, turtles and lots of birds. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate about animals. The food at the lunch afterward was delicious. I highly recommend visiting.

Saw lots of birds and caymans. We even went into Nicaragua. We saw howler monkeys hanging in the trees and guides are quick to spot wildlife. Only drawback was drive from Fortuna

We took the Viajes Rio Frio two-hour cruise from Los Chiles to the Nicaragua border at Los Guatuzos. Great views of birds and monkeys; wish we could have cruised longer.

This activity wasn't a total loss but it was not what we were expecting. First, it was billed as a trip from La Fortuna. Two hours later on a bus, we arrived at the location. Next, we got on a moderately large boat for the...More

We had a private tour, which offers the perfect opportunity for taking photos; car and boat stopped and motor turned of to offer best circumstances to photograph the birds, the monkeys, sloths, iguanas and caymans. We spotted four different kingfishers, including the North-American pigmee. Our...More

FYI I would not drive up and hope to find someone by chance since it is a bit of a drive. We called the actual Cano Negro Park and arranged a guide the day before. I tried repeatedly to call Paraiso Tropical but their phone... More
