One of the biggest graveyard of Serbian soldiers outside Serbian soil well kept and preserved by old Đorđe, the last Mihajlovic. It is very near the town centre and a place of histrory for all interested in WWI, especially due to the fact that it preserves not only Serbian but also French, Russian, Italian, British... and other casualties of war.... More

This place drew more attention only in recent years. It has important place in the history. Thousands of Serbian, French, Russian, British and other soldiers are buried there.

The Salonika campaign is a very much overlooked part of World War 1 in Great Britain, where it is overshadowed by the events on the Western Front, Gallipoli and Palestine. Really interesting and touching monument, thousands of graves, separated in areas, depending of the soldiers' nationalities. The entrance is free.

The Zeitenlik Cemetary should be visited by any pearson who has dignity and respect for thousads and thousands young Europeans who lost their lives for brighter future. It gives you the opportunity to understand better the Great War (WWI)

Interesting place to visit, British WW1 dead buried at very far end, grassed area. Amazing to read names, ages & battalions on headstones.

I have visited the place with my husband and I hoped I would maybe find a place why my great grand father died. With a help with a host there I have found him. Really. Could not believe it. For a century we did not know where his grave is, on which front he died and there it was. My... More

R. I. P. Old granpda, there was an old serbian grandpa Who was keeping this cemetery and telling a very touching story, will remmember this place forever, great expiriance

You can really feel the presence of all soldiers burried here, their tragedies, their lives and wishes... It leaves you in a great awe. Here you can find not only tombs of serbian soldiers which are mayority, but aldo french and british. Good plsce for pilgrimage and reminescence on those who fought so we could be here where we are... More
