We enjoyed visiting this beautiful property together with the history of this Aristocrratic Family in the Times of the British colony. A great artist and architect of gardens design. Definitely recommendable. Pity that the foundations of Sri Lanka do not invest to keep it nicer....More

This was a really cool thing to do. The Tuk Tuk ride is fun, it takes you off the beaten track into the jungle. Upon arrival you ring on a big gong bell. A man lets you in on the side gate and allows you...More

Loved strolling around the gardens and through the house. Fascinating to see how it has been maintained and to reflect on that era, good and not so good. Appreciated the gay art.

This place take a long time to get to, but takes about 30 mins to visit. Odd combination of manicured gardens, eclectic sculptures, paintings and house. Journey to and from gives an interesting insight into rural Sri Lankan subsistence living. Perfect example of English eccentricity.

You have travel deep into the village to find this place. So if you are going with your own vehicle then make sure about route. However it is a hidden gem. Beautiful landscaping with proper maintenance. You have to get a ticket at the entrance.
