Interesting place but there are a lot of these museums throughout Norway and this one doesn’t appear to offer anything extra.

The Collection shows old buildings from the farms in Telemark. As the museum is Close to Heddal Stave Church, it may be nice visit combination.

When visiting the stave church it is just a nice walk to see this place. It is open for visitors to come inside during summer and you can see examples of famous farmhouse decorations!

If you stop by to see the Heddal Stave Church, you could as well drop in to see the Heddal Bygdetun, a interesting collection of old farm houses in typical norwegian style.

We were really surprised on the willingness to guide us through the history of Norway. Our guide, a former teacher, did a great job. We really enjoyed it.
