This beautiful mosque is just off of the main road and well worth a look. The terracotta work is stunning. The location adjacent to a large tank is peaceful. The interior resonates with history.

Kusuma mosque is located at Manda Upozilla under Naogan district .It connected with Naogaon Rajshahi road..The mosque was built in 1558 -1559 by one one of the last Afgan ruler of Bengal name Giasuddin Bahadur Shah.. The name of the mosque derived from the name of the village Kusumba.
The mosque has six domes . The walls are made of bricks and stones. Like many other mosques in the North Bengal the walls have lot of art work. One exception in this mosque is ,presently whole compound is decorated with tiles even outside boundary wall.
On the eastern side of mosque there is a huge pond 1250 x 900 feet.A tiled staircase leads to the clean water pond . The mosques is protected by Ansars .

This medieval mosque. a must see in Naogaon, was built in the 16th century. This ancient mosque built with sand stones and black stones is maintained and managed by country's archaeological department. Travelers from Naogaon and Rajshahi can go to this place by taking autorickshaw directly to this place (cost would be higher). Otherwise, take a bus upto Manda ferry ghat and then take a rickshaw to the mosque. Very quiet and calm place with serenity. Fridays are crowded. Very beautiful place as there is a lake in front of this mosque. It is located in a rural area. A sand stone column is located in a paddy field near the mosque and a black box made by stone on the way.

A stone built structure from medieval times, it was built by an Afghan king. It has six domes. It was made of brick with stone covering. The mihrabs are of black stone. There is an unusual Ladies Gallery in the far right corner. A long staircase leads down to a bathing area. Colourful rugs add to the atmosphere. Bees have huge hives at the three entry doors for an added dimension.
