I have been to Blanchisseuse about 4 times within the last two years and I must say each visit left me refreshed and ready to go back to the normal routines of daily life. We call the route via Maracas the fast route but the other route through Maturita we call the scienic one and even though it can be quite challenging at times, there is always something to ooh and ah about. I can never get over the christophene vines perched so precariously along those steep slopes, gives me hope that courage can take you places. I also love the stops on the Maracas way quite a number of beaches and a few of them unknown to the average Trinidadian. We plan to take boat and explore the North coast.
We usually stay in a quaint little house perched on the hill and the view is nothing but breath taking. The village reminds of the past and we have never had any bad experiences. We even gave one of the beaches recommended by our neighbour there a name 'Wetman Bay'.
Amazing how so many tourist attractions exist right here and not marketed. I would recommend to anyone, anytime.
I forgot to mention the rivers and the waterfall.

At the end of the North Coast road and a few miles further than Maracas Beach, this beach is definitely worth the extra drive. Everything you want in a Caribbean Beach. Blue water, coconut trees and no tourists.

The Marianne River rolls down to the beach and it is absolutely stunning. Hardly anyone else around, very relaxing, worth paying the few dollars for the parking, then get to use the clean (basic) shower / toilets.

This beach may look good in photos, but it's full of trash and many of the nests of the endangered leatherback turtles have been destroyed by roaming dogs. If you find trashed habitats depressing, avoid this one.

My youngest daughter got married at Paradis, Blanchisseuse Beach, Trinidad and Tobago last month! The place sits directly on the beach and boasts beautiful sea side view from each of its four bedrooms. The home is beautifully designed to maximize the views of the beach. The views were simply breathtaking and perfect for wedding photos!!! I would certainly return there soon.

One of the finest beaches/areas I have ever been to. Without a doubt, one of the most serene places. Steps from the rainforest, the ocean welcomes you.

Be careful though, extreme hidden sandbanks where you may break your collarbone! Oops. We all loved this beach but take care in the sea, the rip rises are strong. The back drop is beautiful and there is plenty of shade.

Not overly crowded and usually quiet, this is one of the best beaches, if not the best, in Trinidad. Parking is available for a small fee with bathrooms and food stalls too. It's much quieter than the usual hustle and bustle at Maracas. Swimming in the river is nice. The ocean itself does have rough currents and waves, so exercise caution. Not suitable for small kids swimming. Overall, an excellent beach worth the drive.

My partner and my teenage son love to pootle around in the river behind this beach and to swim in the sea. I love to sit in the very unassuming beach restaurant and read my book with an ice cold beer. Then we all have the freshest, tastiest, Bake and Shark for miles around - the lady who works there is so friendly too, well worth the drive beyond Maracas - afterwards, we head back on the scenic route via the forest. Always a highlight.

We kept going and going and we finally found it. We paid 15 TT money to park and use the facilities. Just a parking lot, bathroom, and showers. We were the only ones there all day. We were warned the waters were rough. The waves literally knocked us off our feet. Great day at the beach.
