Beautiful place - silky sand and clear water.
Thr town is rather quiet and would benefit from more
Tourists and local businesses.
Friendly people - great ice parlour.
The town itself is rather poor and there is a lot of construction happening - lots of empty buildings.
A few
Lovely restaurants.
The people we met were fun and friendly.
I don’t think young adults would
Enjoy it as there is very little
‘Nightlife’ perfect for young families and couples.

Wednesday 17th November and we walked from our Hotel, Riu Karamboa, along the beach to Sal Rei.
Along the way we visited a number of beaches, however this is the last one and is alongside Sal Rei, with Praia Carlota to south.
There were a number of bars along the beach, sadly some of the bars were closed and falling into disrepair. Those that were open provided sunbeds, loungers and umbrellas for their guests.
Other visitors chose to spread their mats and towels along the dunes or on the white sand
For those more active visitors seeking thrills and excitement there is kite and wind surfing as well as diving.
There is always something to catch the eye here, perhaps it is an unusual piece of driftwood, a sand sculpture or even great views across to Ilheu de Sal Rei.
Dotted along the Beach are a plethora of misshaped stones, we found some that we thought resembled a variety of animals, it was fun and interesting just looking at them.

When you are on Boa Vista between november and april, this beach is covered by nearest island. Thats why there are no waves due windy season. The beach is safe for small children. With White sand and water under knees.

Friday 5th July and we walked along the beach from Sal Rei to Praia de Chaves, where our hotel, RIU Palace Boa Vista was. We had taken a taxi from our hotel to Sal Rei and we decided to walk home which took us along this beach.
This beach is one of a number of beaches that stretch out along this coastline starting at Praia d'Diante, in Sal Rei, leading to this beach, Praia do Estoril, then on to Praia Carlota, Praia das Dunas arriving at Praia de Chaves.
There are a number of bars along this beach, Bahia the Beach, Toca de Garupa, Morakeza Beach Bar. All of the bars provide sunbeds and umbrellas, so an ideal spot for some extra peace and quiet away from the busy hotels.
Fancy a bit more solitude then find a spot on the beach, virtually deserted apart from people walking up and down, spread out the beach mats and towels and simply enjoy.
Looking for some activity there is also the Cabo Verde Diving centre on this beach.
This section of the beach is relatively unspoilt and it's golden white sands have a variety of stones or geological interest, slate, black volcanic stones and a plethora of misshaped stones, we found some that we thought resembled a variety of animals, it was fun and interesting just looking at them.

A prefect beach to stroll along, unspoilt and pretty empty except for a few kite surfers! the sand is very soft.

Very beautiful beach with calm and relaxing waters.
In front of the beach we see the island of Sal Rei or also called Djeu.
Good surrounding structures at the level of restoration.
