It is not very famous, but impressive UNESCO site. The have a lot to see and learn about monks who lives there and their home. The only downside is very little information in language then German.

The site is within 15 mins walk from train station but not enough signs for travller who goes on foot like me. So i followed direction sign for car and finally reached car park. But then i found out there are shorter ways. Adult's entry...More

The Walkenried Abbey has been designated part of a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO and oozes of history. The museum is small but informative, with English captions on most of the exhibition. The only downside is was, that they didn't accept VISA credit card...More
