We visited the zoo on a Saturday and had a great time. The entry to the zoo is very nice and makes it easy to get tickets and access the park.
Upon entry you’re met with a massive playground area for the children and a restaurant. The playground is well maintained and the kids seem to love it. We had lunch at the restaurant and had a great meal. The food was very good.
The exhibits around the park are clean and well maintained. They aren’t terribly far apart so it makes for an easy trip through the park. There is a deer walk through exhibit and goat petting zoo that are sure to keep the kid’s interest. All of the animals seem to be in great shape and happy in their enclosures. The one downside that I noticed was that many of the exhibits weren’t modeled after the animals natural habitats but even with that they were still very nice
There is a bird of prey show at numerous times throughout the day that you’ll definitely want to catch. The handlers take out owls, falcons, eagles and vultures and have them fly around. It’s a very cool show.
Overall it was a great zoo and for the price was well worth it. If you’re in the area I would definitely suggest going.

A good day out that doesn't break the bank. You can stroll through the woodland setting at your own pace even picnic on the way. If you are burdened down with bags or cool boxes or tired kids hire a small hand cart for the day. Lots of interesting displays and at the end a reasonable clean restaurant and a kids adventure playground.

A wonderful day out for all. Has plenty of shade with all the trees. Very well laid out with directions. Loved the Bears and even saw the Tiger. Lots to see and do and the kids just love it.

A lot of playgrounds inside. This is appreciated by the kids, but it can sometimes be difficult to move on.
A lot of possibilities to buy animal feed. Skip feeding the goats, since they are very pushy which can be scary for small kids. It is more fun and calm to feed the deers when walking in their pen.
The only ting which wasn't fully to my liking was the lack of snack bars. A lot of the kiosks were closed and the Elch lodge didn't serve any warm snacks due to a technical failure. The plays in itself is cosy and nice.

Cheap (entry & food/drink). Great layout with loads of swings ect scattered throughout the park to entertain the little ones.
Can hand feed animals as you go around (food dispensers at €1 per box).
Kid carts available to pull your packed lunch around in or children.
Huge enclosures that sometimes put Hannover zoo to shame.

I love to walk and this was an amazing place to have done that. The place is quite remote and not one of places that you would go unless 'a local' was taking you. Luckily, we had just that! We did over 10 kms over a couple of hours and finished off with a nice walk in one of the local restaurants. I would love to cycle here as well if the opportunity presented itself. A day well spent!

This wildpark, or zoo if you will, offers countless of hours of seeing all the animals, watching shows and just taking a stroll through the forestlike surroundings. For its price, 10 euros, it's definitely well worth checking out.
What's even better is it's location just off the A7 freeway which makes it a perfect place to visit and have some peace and quiet if you feel like taking a pause from driving south by car. If you're not fluent in german, I'd sudgest that you skip some of the shows since most of them (if not all) seem to be in german.
Overall, this wildpark feels complete and peaceful in many ways and I recommend anyone looking for a good zoo a visit to Wildpark Luneburger Heide.

Fantastic place! Visited here in the Easter school holidays. It was €28 for 2 adults and 1 child aged 4. We arrived about 11ish and didn't leave until 5. They have a few places to eat around the park and loads of benches scattered around to sit and eat if taking a picnic. Great that you get to feed the goats and deer, and they aren't shy! Tigers, bears, donkeys etc all come up close to the fences/glass. Just a great day out and we'll worth a visit for the price! Just remember to take €1 coins for the food machines.
