Unfortunately a guest at the hotel where we are staying raved about orchid world so in a way he oversold it and in retrospect I think he may not have seen many orchids in his lifetime. I've been fortunate enough to see orchid gardens around the world and I wish I had gone there with no expectations. Having said all... More

Very few orchids on display. I would estimate only 5% of plants had flowers. staff at reception were bored and disinterested. Most unlike the rest of Barbados. $25 us dollars per couple was a ripoff.

we used a taxi to get there on a Sunday morning, no people around the garden, it was very quiet and relaxing to walk slowly in beautiful garden. I took lots of pictures, not only from the orchids but from almost all plants, trees and palms.

Coming from St Nicholas Abbey in our hire car and even with sat nav, this was incredibly hard to find and quite frankly we nearly gave up. Come on Orchid World put up your own signs all over the place, within a few kms - I can only offer Hunte's Gardens as a prime example. You don't get a second... More

Only takes 20-30 minutes to walk around but is a beautiful garden with lots of unusual plants to see. Well worth the visit but do use the umbrellas provided

We really like orchids, so this place was right up our street. Formal gardens around "houses" that protect the orchids - loads and loads of different types of orchids. The orchids are stunning, although I personally found the garden areas a little over-formal, over-organised. A very pleasant place to visit.

More than just Orchids here and real tropical garden indeed. The guide we had explain the medical benefits of a number of the plants and tree barks, she was a real mind of information. The guide provided us with a demonstration of making a natural shampoo with a built in conditioner. There are green houses with a vast range of... More

Dropped in here as we where driving about. It was a nicely laid out place , I'm not into flowers myself, but my wife and the outlaw seem to enjoy it.
