Fabulous view

Well worth a visit, can be a bit busy but the history is really interesting. The walk up is not difficult and the plants are lovely.

We visited here on a cloudy late afternoon with our group having decided to venture inland. There was no one else here due to the rain in the first half of the day. We stopped here after Harrison's Cave and Flower Forest. EPIC views and photo ops here. Definitely worth the very nominal fee paid. Beautiful garden, cool history of... More

Well worth a visit for the beautiful garden alone! The views are lovely too. The signal stations are a significant part of Barbados' history and worth seeing.

We stopped at Gun Hill Signal Station on an island tour of Barbados and really enjoyed seeing the interesting photos inside the tower, the canons and also the breathtaking views of the island. The short walk to the station was also lovely, past tropical plants and flowers.

A very small site but of significant historical interest and relevance to the Island. I'm not quite sure what some people expect from a location such as this. I will remain polite but suffice to say as one interested in history it was a fascinating insight into something that only a week previously I didn't know about. I was delighted... More

There is a lot of history in Barbados and one of the places to learn about some of their rich history. The view from this place is unbelievable. Well worth your time to go see this place.

Tranquil environment with beautiful gardens. A bit more literature on the history of the site and the people that worked there in times gone by would be good. The staff were very helpful and friendly and took time out to answer our questions. They clearly love their jobs and work hard to make visitors feel welcome. Highly recommended.

We haven't been to Gun Hill for a few years and were really impressed with the improvements. Just inside the entrance the ground has been levelled to provide a small grass terrace with fantastic views over the south coast. The decking platform at the signal station has also been extended giving the most spectacular views. Kevin, the perfectly charming person... More

We visited Gun Hill Signal Station again today. The building and gardens were beautifully presented and the views are superb. It is easy to image the soldiers manning the position in the 1800s. The historical information is interesting and ids the right amount for most people. Since we last visited they have added a small cafe, which meant that we... More

There is an entry fee $6 US per person. This is a small place but the landscape is lovely and it and the buildings are well maintained. The restrooms are clean. I think there were drinks for sale but we moved right on to the signal station. The history and displays were very interesting. The view is outstanding! We would... More
