A small but interesting (very different from the Thai ones) temple. When visited during dusk, the service man there lights dragon statue eyes. Very atmospheric.

The venue is in the centre of Maenam, near the beach. The temple is not very big but very colourful and well maintained. If passing by, have a look. Parking is available for cars.

Chinese Temple is a well-liked place having a small altar. There are attractive paintings on the walls of this temple that describes a lot about Zhao Mei Guan. To the right side of the temple, there is a beautiful painting on the stone altar that must be explored. This mesmerizing temple is situated at the southwest end of Ko Samui. From this place, you can see the amazing view of Koh Tao. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful sunset and gaze the long-tail fishing boats. This Turtle Island (Koh Tao) is just at the back of this temple. Each year, a huge number of tourists visit this place in order to explore the amazing images sculpted on the walls of this temple. Chinese Temple is a great place that showcases the historical culture of Thai people. If you love exploring the historical things and stories, then Chinese Temple is worth a visit. Not Allowed Footwear, Pets.

We got to this temple during our walk on the beach. It's really interesting but we did not know much about it. A guide or reading material in advance would have helped.
The colors were quite vibrant and it was different than all of the other thai temples.

Simple, country temple , well maintained. I always leave an offering for Mah Tzu, goddess who looks after seafarers.

So this is a not so well maintained Chinese Temple but if you are in the area and you are interested in this sort of thing then drop in and take a look.

easy get there, just inside the China Town, can park outside and have a quick visit, then the food street is around the corner, international restaurants on the street, good food, cheaper than the Fisherman Village, many massage shops and travel agencies.
