Smaller of the two linked temple complexes, but that is not to diminish this site it is so well worthwhile to visit. Just a little walk along paths and walkway from Hagar. It is quite expose and sunny taking some drinks would be a good idea when visiting. Great place to visit when in Malta.

Don't assume this site is just like Hagar Qim. At the front is a hallowed out "hook" in the stone on the ground to tie up animals. I am attaching a picture so you don't miss it.

Just down the hill from the Hagar Qim Temples, they are less busy as tour guides tend not to venture there. There are actually three temples on this curved “plaza” and they were built around the third millennium BC.

Ancient structure even older than the first one in this compound.
A bit of a hike to reach it, maybe and additional 500 meters downhill going but uphill coming back.
Audio guide makes it easy to grasp the story.
Amazing given the lack if tools during construction.

Not worth it. Tickets are expensive for what you see. 10€ per adult. All you can see are rocks with with some kind of explanation. It could be much better.

Always love this beautiful ancient temple and the scenic views. Today my visit was spoilt by authoritative attendants from Heritage Malta who ordered me not to quietly play my drum or koshi chimes, and not to sing inside the temple (in case of annoying other visitors), despite my having respectfully done this in all the other ancient sites and temples during my visit unmolested this week, and even being encouraged to sing by the staff at Ta Hagrat temple. As a pilgrim priestess making offerings of sacred sound in these ancient sites is part of my spiritual practice, with no damage to the temple or offence to anyone else. It's spoiled my visit today to be banned from making gentle music in this way. A shame.

Hagar Qim gets most of the attention but this sister complex some 400m downhill thereof is certainly worth exploring. Another Megalithic site, its construction is geared to the spriing, summer and winter solstices.

Visited in conjunction with the Hagar Qim Temples. Impressive. Do take the time to explored the adjacent walking trails. Narration signage discusses local flora and fauna and provides great views.

Haga Qim and Mnajdra temples are next door to each other.
If in Malta these temples are a must see, they are 1,000 years older than the pyramids in Egypt and Stonehenge in England!

A 'double' with Hagrat [The combined temple sites ticket if you want to see more than a couple is a bargain]. There's a lovely , if quite steep, walk down the headland from one to the other, with a chance to admire the views and the wildflowers - some in bloom even in October - and spot butterflies. The temple is seriously imposing and very photogenic, and you can access quite a bit of it. If you are put off by the thought of the climb back up - don't be as there is a super little electric shuttle that can take up to 5 people at a time , back to the top for 1 euro. Worth every cent!
