We were interested in a smaller, boutique winery vs. some of the larger, more tourist-driven wineries. This was an excellent choice. It's a short drive from Santiago in the beautiful Maipo valley. We took a tour of the winery with Salome, a member of the winery staff. She took us through the cool horseshoe-shaped winery production facilities, and we tasted... More

My wife and I took a very enjoyable tour in December with Salome. Although we booked a group tour, it was just the two of us and we benefited from Salome's expertise and personal attention. The tasting room is spectacular and it was a pleasure to sample the wines with such a knowledgeable Salome. We stayed for an excellent lunch... More

We are wine dummies but thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Salome. She was fun to be with and explained with patiences. Now I feel I know more about wine than I did before. Thank you Salome.

y. Loved this place, my friends and did a tour and tasting. Annes was our guide and she was fantastic. If you are looking for a winery that is off the beaten path, great wine, and history. You must take the time to visit this place.

We took a friend that was visiting us and we weren't disappointed. We went with my daughters as well who are used to visit wineries now. Unfortunately we didn't have a booking for a whole tour but Salome, who is in charge of the tour very kindly received us anyway and showed us the place and explained the wines and... More

We loved our visit to this winery! Our hosts were knowledgeable and accommodating - we requested a tour and they agreed even though they were technically closed while they worked on their new restaurant. The horseshoe-shaped gravity-fed winery and underground tasting room were beautiful but the surrounding setting (vineyards in the foreground and the snowy Andes as a backdrop) was... More

We recently tried to find this place (June 2015), as it sounds great in the write-ups we read. There was construction and many roads blocked, and as a result gave up after a few attempts at taking detours, etc

My husband and I found this winery through local recommendations. Karin, our guide, gave a great tour and Hara de Pirque has a gorgeous property along with their great wines. Their Cab/Carmenere blend Albis was spectacular.

Getting to the actual winery takes you off the main road down a gravel road, but it is SO worth it! These were the more impressive wines I tasted in any of our visits. The tasting room is below a fountain so it creates an ethereal effect on the ceiling. The building itself is in the shape of a horseshoe... More

Great Tour of the Estate, amazing purpose built winery, horse drawn carriages for lunch, al fresco lunch in the garden, and a very accurate and informative lecture on the Winery presented by the owner and keen horse breeder... an amazing experience to be remembered, and amazing views of the surrounding Andes, not to mention a fascinating visit of the Stables...
