Just don't look over the edge, it is a shame the surrounding grounds don't receive the same adoration as the temples. We visited this site and a number of other sites including the mummified monk on a day trip around the island and all the...More

Having been blessed to be able to visit temples across the world this one is a disappointment. Feels like a money making enterprise rather than a space for veneration.

You are on Samui. You probably have Your Motobike rented anyway... Go there, Take a Look, Take Your Pictures For Facebook and Instagram ... Perfect For a Cloudy day. Nothing Special Here, still Worth The time, but No reason to Visit Twice...

It is a "only need to visit once" type of place. Please be respectful to the temple by dressing appropriately. Cover your shoulders and your knees. Do skip the shops here if you are also visiting Bangkok / Pattaya. They still the exact same items...More

Really enjoyed my trip here. I was staying near Bangrat and was able to walk here. A very interesting place. Lots of market stalls. Well worth a visit.

Huge big seated buddha, nestled in a small fishing village, good 30 minutes where cruise ships tender. Make sure you have something covering your shoulders for respect. This place does offer coverings without paying. Nice views from atop the 72 steps to get up to...More

As said by many, this is just a big, and not especially beautiful, buddha, surrounded by the usual dozens of shops and accessible through a large nice stair. The main interest is the location on a small hill over water which allows for a nice...More

This was a nice stop on around the island tour. It is a nice place to take photos of the sea and nearby islands. There is many souvenir stores also to buy gifts to take home.

Depends on the severity of your illness. There is about 60 steps, a little more than half way up there is a platform. However the steps are not steeper than regular steps I know of. BR Hans Christian
